My eye vac stopped vacuuming on auto when we sweep hair to it. should i change filter?

Mine did too I have to turn it on each use. Have you ever replaced the filter?

Why do I have to pay return shipping on this item? I am returning this item brand new in package; never used as it was an extra and I am not keeping

Do i leave the cover over the filter?

i don't know of a cover over the filter if there is a plastic wrap or something on the filter then remove it, dust should be able to go into the pleated part of the filter
