Alumicolor 30-cm Aluminum Metric Engineer Hollow Scale for School, Office, Art and Drafting, 30CM, Silver

Been looking for a good quality, mini scale for a while. I bought a 4" plastic one which was only 1/2" in height. Very compact to carry around, but too short for my use. I also bought a slim 6" aluminum scale (only about a 1/4" in height), but the numbering was way too small for my old(er) eyes. This one was the perfect balance.Pros:- Convenient size.- Sturdy aluminum.- Various colors available.- Easy to see/read.Cons:- Because of it's unique shape, it is a bit difficult to grip when picking up. Other scales have a lateral "groove" on each of the 3 faces between the scales that aid in grip. No biggie since this is a only a 6" scale and not very heavy. If it were a 12", I'd think it would be even more difficult because of it's increased weight.- The "holes" at each end are pretty sharp...especially the inside edge. For safety, I chamfered it with some sandpaper. I also slightly rounded each of the 6 apex "corner" edges as they would probably draw blood if dropped on your bare foot.

Superb quality. Excellent indices that get right down and close to your paper almost touching. Very legible and crisp numbers and lines. I have used with pencil only and have not tried with ink. Creates excellent lines and is a pleasure to use, hold, and look at. Highly recommended!

Item came damaged and won’t lay flat because of the damage so not able to use. Not sure if this is manufacturing issue or shipping. The shipping padded envelope shows no damage at all. Looks nice wish it would work for drafting.

What with CAD, these babies are needed less. But, I do like to use a scale when presentling to clients. This scale stands out in a crowd and is very functional. I love the purple color!

THis is a very good metric scale. The Scales are very readable. The Delivery was super fast. I just purchased a couple more of different scales. Very Good Value!
