CAMPLUX5 litres Portable Gas Water Heater with 6L Water Pump Pack, Black

Very compact and can be packed away quite neatly. I’ve fixed mine to a set of alloy sack trucks using the bottom shelf as a leisure battery stand. There is enough power from the shower to give you a good soaking almost as good as my home fixed shower. Some of the plumbing and hoses etc does look and feel a bit tacky and weak but I plan on getting brass fittings and tailors hoses to fit. Don’t get me wrong though, the supplied fittings are more than adequate. I have bought the item for camping trips as I hate not being able to have a proper wash in the mornings or after sitting around a camp fire all night stinking of wood smoke but this definitely does the trick. It was easy to assemble the plumbing and insert the batteries (2xD Batteries for the ignition not supplied) and the 12v supplied pump is now fixed to the side of my sack trucks as well so I’ve made it a complete unit. The water temperature is controllable and you can get really hot water from it so be careful when you first use it. I love this item and has made my wild camping trips not so ‘wild’The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a freestanding stand hence the sack trucks idea but if you were using it in a fixed point ie stables etc this isn’t going to be an issue. All fixings are supplied. The other slight problem was finding gas as there seems to be a National shortage due to Covid apparently, I had to buy an EMPTY gas bottle to swap it for a full one.

I got exactly what I ordered. One package with the pump and fittings arrived by Royal Mail and I had a tracking number provided by Amazon for that. There was no tracking number for the other parcel that arrived by a different courier company later I the day. I did contact the vendor Camplux to let them know about the 'missing' package, via the Amazon website, and they got back to me to confirm a second package would arrive and gave me the courier details and tracking number - so good customer service there. The phone number provided for customer service is American and there office opening times are on US time - so don't bother calling from the UK until the afternoon, evening. I haven't used the equipment yet but am looking forward to doing so.

This was purchased for a colleague who was living off grid in Skye in a mobile home, using the power of the sun to heat up a small tank of water. This device has enabled him to have 20 minute showers, at perfect temperature using filtered water from a nearby stream. The unit is housed in a covered area attached to the mobile home and has plenty of ventilation. After several weeks of use the comment from the user was " If it's possible to fall in love with an inanimate device that can change one's quality of life, then Camplux Outdoor Tankless Gas Water heater is it!"

Water pump pressure is to great for the shower and will extinguish the burner in the boiler . Meaning that in order to get the shower running it has to run crazy hot or not at all .
