Absolutely LOVE this headlamp (Atomic headlamp) !!! First of all, I love a good headlamp, and use them "all" the time fixing stuff, so I have maybe 6 or 7 different brands, but NONE, of them are good enough to actually use, except THIS one!! I bought my first one at my local King Soopers grocery store ("As seen on TV") for $20.xx, and wore that puppy out! Had to repair a broken wire to the on-off switch, but it kept on trucking. Well, it just quit again after many years of great service, so, luckily I found this newer updated version on Amazon, and so glad I did, as it is nearly identical. The thing I LOVE, about this light, is that the light beam is perfectly even, and diameter adjustable, and BRIGHT, man, is it bright, most of these headlamps are SO DIM, you need to light a match to find the beam!! Not this one. This one works so well that I almost wet my self when I turn it on!!! Love it!!!

I’m in a wheelchair, so this is like putting on a comfortable hat that happens to have a nice light with an adjustable beam and various options. This helps extremely well when taking my service dog out to pee. He is fine, but this helps me see where I’m going: ramps, grass, water, etc. Just the other day I bought a third so I have one for piano practice at 2300 AM. The trick is rechargeable batteries (we’ve saved hundreds of dollars the past few years with rechargeable batteries). We do recharge the batteries what I think is often, but changing the 3 AAAs is a cinch: ALWAYS HAVE EXTRAS FRESHLY CHARGED. We think it it could simply by the type of cheap rechargeable batteries we got, hence I’m ordering new ones.WE SERIOUSLY recommend this. I might now get one for my hand (two, if there’s one for each hand) if possible. Again, it’s a wheelchair thing.

I notice in these reviews a lot of people mention using 3 rechargeable AAA batteries. I've taken a picture of the batteries I use, which I buy on Amazon. One battery is all that is needed. The UltraFire BRC 18650 4000mAH 3.7V LI-ION.I also use this battery in my Atomic Beam Flashlights.Just discard the 3 AAA batteries and holder.Great light, but they need to use a different switch.

This is the second one I've owned. Use it for hunting mostly. Really like it.

I had the Atomic Beam flashlight and wanted the same for a headlight. With all the hunting and fishing i do where i live in the woods this headlight performed as expected. It would also come in handy on any occasion in darkness. I never used the AAA batteries cause i knew how well the flashlight worked with the rechargeble 18650 batteries so i purchased them as well.
