The wooden material has held up pretty well after a couple of months. Hasn't gotten dirty or chipped cliffs use. I do like the fact that you can make it narrower or wider depending on what you need or how your kitchen is set up. There's plenty of space for Your basics like forks and knives, as well as any other special utensils that you keep in your drawers. The only issue is that the included river feet don't stick very well and some have fallen off the holder itself. This makes it slide around sometimes when opening the drawer, But if it's that big of a deal you can easily buy your own and put more on the bottom
