A bit pricey but great quality
Full disclosure, I'm a new drummer. I bought this for a practice pad I keep in my office so I can practice during the workday. The snare stand I was using(~$40 on amazon) was very wobbly and always tilted the pad slightly to one side, so I got fed up with it and dropped the money on this Yamaha. I've gotta say, the difference is huge. This stand os very sturdy. It doesn't flex when tightening it onto the pad and doesn't wobble. Just an all-around great stand. If I ever go acoustic I'll likely be using this stand for my snare.

Great stand.
I've been using this stand for my 10" Mapex pro snare and this stand holds it perfectly. Solid build with great adjustment options. You probably won't fit anything over 12" so make sure your snare or other instrument will fit before you buy.
