The Best ring to get! Plus Pre Roll. You DONT have to have existing chime
If you do some research as I did, there are many YouTube videos that compare Ring doorbells and The Ring Wired comes out as the best and most economical version.I did NOT have an existing bell, so I had to buy a adapter from Amazon as well, so i could plug bell into mains socket. The mains socket does not need to be near to the bell, mine is about 6 metres away and the adapter cable is so thin, you cant notice it, its not liking having an extension lead running around your house! You also dont need to by or already have an exsiting chime. It connects to your phone, so if you can hear your phone, you can hear the doorbell. It also connects to an Alexa if you really want to hear the Bell ring indoors. You also get PRE ROLL something that's not in the blurb but you get 3 seconds before action starts. VERY useful and only advertised on ring Pro versions. It uses a 'Fisheye' lens so, the field of view is much more than needed, i can see over the roof of house opposite as well as the ground by my front door. Its wide enough to cover neighbour's driveway either side of as well.Video quality is excellent, its 1080p which is HD so its going to be.Motion sensor works perfectlyNight vision is also very good. Two way talk works very well, no complaints there eitherinstalled in about 10-15 mins (And Im not a DIY person!) just 2 screws in wall.If fact i have no complaints at all, why would anyone spend 200 quid on a doorbell when this does almost as much for 50! After all, its just a doorbell! If anyone told you 10 years ago, one day you would spend 50 quid on a doorbell, you would have laughed at how ridiculous that sounded. And yet here you are.........Just buy, job done

Great product for a great price
We bought Ring wired doorbell after having read a million reviews and watched a million videos. We decided to go for the wired option as we didn't want to deal with batteries replacement, and it's also much cheaper than the battery operated version.I must confess that it didn't disappoint, considering how cheap it is. We get notifications on our phones immediately as it spots people. Night vision is great as well. Also I want to point out how bad my husband and I are at DYI. This was our first DYI attempt in the new house and we managed to do it without setting the house on fire :) So this shows how simple it is to install it.Just one note on the installation manual in the app: the installation process of the jumper cable shown in the app is wrong. I had watched Ring's videos on youtube on how to install the jumper cable, and they were showing the right way to install it. So if you live in Ireland/UK make sure to install the jumper cable as shown on youtube and ignore the app. We tried it the app way and it wasn't powering the doorbell.Apart from this minor issue, everything else is perfect!

One happy Customer.
Everything is great with this apart from being a bit slow to respond and not receiving it to my phone as fast as I would like to unless it’s my internet. Apart from that it’s great value. One thing I recommend is if your doing this yourself especially for us women you need to put the 2 brown and 2 blue together in the small tranformer to get the circuit right. That’s if your in the uk to make this work. I spent so much time at it to find I blew my main box for the bell where your electric is coming from cuz I was putting the wires like it said on the video and it wouldn’t work. I take it that’s for the US. Had to get an electrician in although I wired it correctly it was the main fuse of the door bell I blew due to doing it the way the video had said :/ but Was worth even paying the spark to do it. I no longer have the problem of panicking if parcels are coming or not and having to wait in. I can sit anywhere in or out and speak to the delivery drivers and tell them where to leave parcels. I highly recommend it. Fantastic value for the money you pay compared to the high priced one that does the exact same if not more. There is a subscription of £3.99 per month to use all the features they have I wasn’t going to subscribe and keep it basic if you want you can but for £3.99 I would spend it on stupid things anyway so why not and the features are good as you can record and keep them. It’s good for protecting your surrounding where you put it as it’s got a good wide vision. You can also set it which I do with mine at night to high alert. Definitely one of my best buys this year.

Ring a Ding a Ring £££££
Well it was quite simple to setup and install with the mains adapter.Only on my Android and via Web APP so far,Clear pictures quite clear sound, although seems to include swishing of material [like car wheels in a hearing aid].BUT! No the fun begins!1. To store and review videos you have to pay for a monthly plan !2. Unable to store on SD type card, or home server [see 1]3. The Windows Web app to view Dashboard and History is very very limited. I have turned off "motion detected" notifications as the cam is facing on a communal hallOn the web app, I wanted to filter "ALL History Events", by Date/Time & Event type[motion, ring, etc] Output to a file containing "Date/time, Event type/ID,, thereby allowing me to download and store the selected videos on my home NAS for Insurance purposes.BUT! Of course the paid for plan [bit like a TV license] does not provide any such ability. Now I will have to look a weekly download of ALL, write my own scripts to achieve what SHOULD be available in the paid plans.Luckily my previous non RING door bell had achieved it's life span and that is why I replaced with what is supposed to be the BEST on the market. Big mistake.Any one know of reasonable priced NVR system??
