The results of the tests tracked ok but not perfectly, so I think it was a valuable step that could have been used to filter out some really poor performers. I like the meter. It has a gain adjustment that works perfectly and the antenna connector is SMA so it's easy to put on a longer antenna when testing 2 meter equipment. Review: A must have - This is the UN-amplified version of the meter. It is an absolute must-have, along with things like SWR/power meters. Works great for testing how well your HT/antenna combo transmits. Sometimes it is a more important piece of information than the "SWR" of your HT antenna, which is hard to measure accurately. Also helps to catch situations where an antenna that seems to fit your HT really doesn't (this happens more often than one might think). Conversely, you can attach your HT antenna to this meter and see how well it receives. I dial this meter to about 9 o'clock (partial sensitivity) and transmit from about 6 feet away. When poles are close together. But driving by, narrowing down the pole is easy with it.
