This Charmed Book depicts "'Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen, and features a mini replication of its first edition binding. Inside, the quote reads, "I come here with no expectations, only to profess, now that I am at liberty to do so, that my heart is and always will be yours." The vintage illustration shows Edward Ferrars confessing his love to Elinor Dashwood. Each charm is hand crafted using materials made in the USA. They are made from sturdy brass, plated sterling silver, or plated gold, weather-proofed paper to replicate early book bindings, and weather-proofed images. They measure 7/8 inch long and 11/16 inches high, and are perfect as pendants, additions to charm bracelets, as a pair of earrings, bag clip, or on a key chain. We use first edition dust jackets and illustrations for our Charmed Books as often as possible. Occasionally, we will hand-color original black and white illustrations so they translate better in miniature size, or use a later edition’s art if necessary.
