the gimbal itself works well enough for the price point to where i don't really have any complaints. my primary gripes come from the phone grip itself not being case-friendly due to the triangular shape. there are some button functionality that seems to not work with my Pixel 7Pro, namely the zoom in/out doesn't work, and the facial tracking freaks out very easily resulting in an almost schizophrenic shaking/focus. i really wish it had a better grip that wasn't so unaccommodating to my case.

I wanted this to hold my phone, but it had trouble doing that. So I returned it.

I had to return it. Every time I would hit the remote it would freak out and move the phone around all crazy.

This is a great gimbal if you want a really good deal. I got min for $70 and when I got it was really happy. Then I saw reviews about the V2 and you can use any app plus the V2 has an AI sensor which is genius and let's you track movement without needing the app. It works much better than face tracking in my opinion, plus you can do low angle shots.You can get the V2 for $99 from one of the sellers if you're a prime member. It was a great deal and worth the upgrade. It just doesn't come with the remote which you can buy on B&H for $20 and the remote also comes with an extendable tripod.

The media could not be loaded.  Gimbals used to be so finnicky and expensive, its crazy that this product even exists.. I was a little unhappy with my previous one (zhiyun smooth x) because it was only 2 axis stabilization, and while it was small enough, it was just slightly still too large to carry around with me and also was super annoying to fold up. If you have the smooth x, you know what i'm talking about. The hohem isteady x2 has blown me away with how portable and easy to use it is.. Check out the video for a quick example of it keeping the horizon level lock, no micro jitters, no weird jerks or sudden moves. It just works great and I am so glad to be upgrading. haven't really used the app much, since I just dont like to mess around with stuff like that. I like to just snap it on the thing and hit record. Definitely buy this one if you're in the market for a smart phone gimbal.

This is a very simple to use gimbal, compact, light weight, and has a strong motors. I have a 13 pro and handles very well. So fast to balance and set up. I have many gimbal and this is one of the best yet. Just because of size and ease of use I actually carry it with me.

The media could not be loaded.  Based on initial impressions, for an easy to use, simple phone gimbal, I would give this a 4.5/5 Stars.It does what it's supposed to do.The only caveat I ran into was with wide angle lenses occasionally being obstructed by the gimbal it self. This can happen on part of an inception mode spin when in landscape mode and when in portrait mode. Check the video review for further details.

Works great for recording my daughter and her dance team makes it easy for me to edit because I’m moving the way I want to without the shaking from my movements and my hand. Has a lot of cool features I don’t know much about these types of electronics but this is easy to use and understand. Definitely worth the price.

Advertising shows 10 hrs battery life so I ordered it and found it is actually around 3 hours! I contacted the seller and he/she said""hi there, It can have a battery life of 10 hrs when the gimbal stays still after being turned on. If you have been using the gimbal, it usually lasts for 3-4 hours.""So, I replied why someone will turn on the gimbal and keep it still to get 10 hours of battery life, what is the point?! I didn't get any response still I wrote again saying "why you are putting false information about the product?" and they replied"Dear customer, The battery life time is obtained by the manufacturer's laboratory test. If you are not satisfy the product, you can apply for return"

Love this device. Easy to use, decent app, priced very well. The only criticism I have is the jaws that grip the iphone are shallow and do not make much allowance for phones with protective cases. And the lower jaw is vicious with its two snake like teeth that rape the side of the phone. I worry about my power volume buttons on my Iphone.

I like that it is very compact. It comes in a nice package like an iPhone.Unfortunately the clamps are poorly designed. When the phone is centred, the clamps interfere the phone buttons. When I shift the phone off centre, the motors struggle the keep it level, sometimes the gimbal starts to beep, indicating an overload situation.Worst of all, the videos are jerky, choppy and not usable at all. Samsung Galaxy S21, when set to Super Steady mode does a better job without the gimbal.

we purchased and received last night. My old gimbal wouldn't work on my new phone because the power button is in the center and that gimbal attaches right there shutting off the phone. This one worked perfect and has amazing features. Will step My video game up even further.I think these are a must nowadays, gimbal is the new selfie stick. As a gimbal, I use it for a lot of things. Slow motion, smooth motion, pictures, regular videos for various platforms (vertical and horizontal filming). Works GREAT! Use it constantly and the upgrade is great. Incremental upgrade, but Iʻll take it. I started using this since the first iteration. Iʻve used others too, but as a PHONE gimbal, I think this is the best. I know they have a mic system now, but I have a clamp from the old old go pro, and I connect a rode double mic on it and Iʻm good to go.overall much impressed

I just received my new gimbal and I am absolutely in love with it. The size is perfectly portable and light weight. Its what I have been looking for for a long time. I can put it in my a small backpack without it taking too much space. The stabilization is great! I think I will definitely be taking this with me everywhere.One tip for any other users: Make sure the "hohem" logo of the clamp facing upward when installing the phone, otherwise the gimbal will show on the view.
