The phone holder itself is very well made of heavy materials and the finish is excellent. It holds my IPhone 11 Pro Max with a thick Defender case with no problems and the clamp locks in place to securely hold the phone. Phone can be rotated vertically or horizontal and locks in that position. The quick connect attachment is super easy to attach and detach and has a locking switch to prevent accidentally separating it.I needed the ability to tilt the holder up and down which the holder In itself will not do but I purchased another Ulanzi product U-100 quick release ball head that makes this phone holder a perfect setup for meOnly downside is the price it is expensive compared to others I looked at but if your like me and you require a quality well built long lasting product the price is reasonable.

All metal, indexed for horizontal/vertical positions, positive locking and solid mounting to a tripod. It's not the cheap, vibration-prone phone holders that you normally see. Yes, those might be just fine for occasional use, but this is a mount that can be used on a variety of systems to securely hold a phone. Get a bluetooth remote for taking a picture, starting a video, etc. and it becomes very easy to use. The remote is not necessary as this is the only mount that doesn't move when touching the screen, but it makes it simple to set up and use. My next project is a sliding arm to move around my shop for videos of different construction stations. I've found the phone results, especially with a wireless lavalier mic, to be better than my DSLR.

I have exclusively Ulanzi photo equipment like the MT-16 and TT31, so this was an obvious choice for me, as I needed something to hold my iPhone for filming/photography. The spring is very strong on this and holds my phone very firmly. I have no reservations or worries when it comes to my phone possibly being knocked out or inadvertently dislodged from the clamp holder. Also, it does include a couple cold shoes for mounting an external shotgun mic or ssd drive or any other peripherals you might need to mount close to your phone. I will be purchasing a Ulanzi quick connect claw adapter as well, so I can easily move my phone from tripod to tripod easily.In my limited experience so far with Ulanzi, I have been very happy with all of their products, and I intend to give them my business for all future needs, as long as they have what I'm looking for... I think the build quality of this little phone holder (it's kinda heavy!) is impressive. Also, like their other products, I think the price point is spot on for what you get. I think there is a lot of value, and I'm very happy I stumbled onto Ulanzi (with the help of many YouTube video reviews, etc.)... I'm sure you will be happy as well.

Works great, but if your phone has a thicker case like my Samsung s24+ with a OtterBox phone case it's a little tight fit but works good. The only flaw is when you go to flip your phone from horizontal to vertical you might have to reposition your phone, if they made it just fraction taller or gave you some adjustment to raise the the holder then you wouldn't have to reposition the phone. Holds tight and is easy to adjust once you get it all figured out. Would I buy this model again, yes quality made all aluminum materials.

This is an ALL METAL IPhone holder for use with a tripod. It's very well made and grips my IPhone 16 Pro Max, with otterbox case very well. I have used it a few times and feel safe using this Iron Man IV phone clip (ST-27). It's easy to clip your phone in and secure it. Would I buy this again? Oh You Betcha !

Excellent unit! Purchased it with an Ulanzi mini-pod. Both work seamlessly functional together. Both well made. May be a little pricey for some but because the material is durable I feel it's worth the investment. Yes, I would buy again.
