Wisdompro Backpack Chest Strap, Heavy Duty Backpack Sternum Strap Add on

I bought these to enhance a very nice Away backpack of mine that does not have chest straps. I find the chest strap to be important when carrying a backpack any sort of longer distance. This strap is very simple. It took me a few tries to get it on how I wanted it, but I did. I'm not great with knots, etc so I messed up putting it on backward, etc. Now this lovely Away branded backpack has a chest strap to keep the shoulder straps from slipping down. Great 6 dollar investment!

I have taken up as exercise walking with a backpack with some light barbells inside. U til I got this sternum strap, the straps on my trusty backpack would slip every few blocks. I priced backpacks with a sternum strap and they were too expensive. I bought these straps and they work great. Sure, they slip down when I am not wearing the backpack, so I have to put them back. But the tension of the weight of the pack keeps these straps in place when I am out walking. A quick, effective and cheap solution to to my issue. Problem solved.

The price was great, it was easy to attach and is incredibly sturdy. The only knock is, at least on 5.11 backpack straps, it seems impossible to keep the chest straps in place. No amount of tightening helps. It’s a minor inconvenience.

I'm sure this sternum strap would work, but there is no way to quickly adjust the length of the strap on the fly. The two sliding adjustments are near each of the shoulder straps of the pack. It's important to me to be able to tighten or loosen the sternum strap as the load in my pack and the terrain change. This strap might be good for a book bag, but it's not adequate for a day pack used for long hikes.

Great, works perfectly on my osprey backpack. chest straps on thing broke after 2 weeks of owning it, probably could've got manufacturer replacement since it was 300 dollar backpack but tried these out first and all is well. I also like much better than the original osprey strap anyways due to being 6'6 and it could not adjust /slide down, it was shocking me at the throat which probably contributed to it snapping with me always pulling it down. Im a bit confused on why people are confused about the excess strap length. Of course they are long, better to make them extra long than extra short so they fit all combinations of backpack/person, then simple trim the excess.... worked well for me, cuts clean, no frazzle or fraying

I’m using this sternum strap on an Eastpak padded zippl’r model - this pack obviously wasn’t built with one, and this add on strap fits the bill 100%. I just wanted a little extra pull on the shoulder straps to keep them from chafing my inner arms, and this works exactly as I wanted. As some others have stated, the strap is extra long, but that’s so it can be used on a variety of backpacks. My bag doesn’t have any additional loops sewn on the shoulder strap that I can use to anchor the sternum strap so it does migrate to the bottom of the shoulder strap when not in use, but that’s just how it is - I’m assuming that if your bag didn’t already have a sternum strap added, then it probably won’t have the anchor points either and if it does, you probably wouldn’t need this product. All in all, the plastic hardware seems sturdy and I wasn’t looking for them but I kind of like the additional D rings you can hang small and light items from if needed. Great sternum add on strap and I think I’ll order another one for my Jansport.

It worked great for what I needed! I do wish there was something to keep it from sliding down. Maybe some silicone bumps on inside of strap to better keep it in place.

J'aime ces attaches. Elles sont solides, s'attachent et se détachent facilement. Elles sont ajustables à la longueur que l'on souhaite. Je les ai installées sur mon gros sac à dos pour le travail. Je suis assez petite, donc ça aide pour garder le sac en place dans le dos. Les sangles du sac ne tombent plus de mes épaules. Très pratique. Bonne qualité. Je les recommande.

Correas indispensables cuando por alguna razón no están incorporadas al macuto original. Simplemente hay que buscar la manera de que no se deslicen a lo largo de la correa para los hombros. Por lo demás estupendas. Sirven para cualquier grosor y anchura de las correas de los hombros del macuto.

Smidiga att fästa i väskan och fyller sin funktion mycket bra. Jag är nöjd!

Finde die echt praktisch und sind für jeden Rucksack zu gebrauchen. Oft haben ja die gewünschte Rucksäcke diese Gurte nicht, umso schöner das man die kaufen kann.
