Ram Rear Split-Bench Underseat Storage Security Lid

The fit is kinda tight. It should be made a little smaller. The paint rubs off whenever you close or open the lid. They should also include 2 rubber adhesive bumpstops to protect the lid when it is opened. Advice: Thread in the back bolts then the front. Won't go in if you do it reversed. You need to push down the lid to close it unless you leave the 2 factory bolts loose in the rear of the lid. Overall, it works. For the price , it is not a bad product but some things could be improve for an easier fit and so the coating won't get rubbed off when using it.

The front bolt install is kinda chincy. I would have though that the engineers could have done a better solution than to just ram a bolt into a un-threaded hole in the sheet metal. Also the lid doesn't open to 90° due to interference of the seat frame, but opens enough to load and unload. I may install a magnet or something to hold the door open. Also scratch the lid on the seat fram the first time I opened it. I would recommend filing down the edge of the bumper where the seat rests as it's a sharp sheared metal edge.

Have a 2018 RAM quad cab and this fits very nicely. Was simple to install except that the lid will not open all the way because of contact with the seat rest. Front secures nicely and lock is tight. Will work great for keeping things secure.

Well made, did not fit solid bench seat brackets without modifications. Little trimming and it works well.

The fit is good, however the lock and key leave much to be desired. I tried to unlock it for the very first time after being installed, and the key broke off in the lock. now i have to drill it out and somehow replace the lock. otherwise it fits great
