This is the second purchase of these bags. They are the perfect size for my fx4s and fx6 filters. Great for putting in Puritan and carbon. Can't say more about it very good products very happy with it

These bags breathe well, can hold a decent amount, are made of nylon and don’t obscure the contents. This makes the cycle of drying out whatever you need to dry (3D printing filament, in my case), to seeing the dessicant change color if you’re using color indicating dessixant, to throwing the bag in the oven to dry out again easy. I haven’t discovered the temperature these bags stop being able to tolerate the heat, but most nylons can handle the 250°F / 125°C for a quick dry, and definitely the 190°F my dehydrator maxes out at, so I’m not too worried they won’t handle it. My main concern was that the mesh is a good size to not let the smallest silica beads fall out, while not being so fine that there is not enough free air flow to be effective. Not quite the use they were intended (100% wet water vs <15% wet air!) but for those looking for good nylon mesh bags for drying out their 3D printing filament or gun safe or whatever it is, the larger size here will easily hold a pound of silica.

I’ve been using this to hold stratum in my tanks to help it not mix with sand. Works great. It’s also been handy to put over a filter intake in a shrimp tank and to put on the end of my siphon (? I cannot remember what this is called atm) for water changes and filling the tank back up. It’ll stop you from annihilating moss when cleaning and from moving substrate when you fill the tank back up. So basically I’ve used it for everything but the filter and I’ve still got extra. (If you want to clean them, I just rub the mesh on itself. I’d imagine it would be more challenging in a filter with all the build up, but you don’t really need to clean it in that setting anyway.)

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great bags for filter additive like purigen. Keeps everything in and zippers close tightly.
