Fit and works perfectly
Perfect for covering an open hole from a wood burner stove pipe that we moved to another location. Fit perfectly and stays put.

fluestop - easy to install
The flue cover was exactly as described, fitting the opening, and was easy to install. Just two wing clips to open and push into place.

My black plate was not textured or painted like what was shown.
The flew plate is flat and black and does not have the scene painted in the center. It is flat surface not the fluted fancy edge as the cream colored plate that shows on my order.

perfect for the opening in the chimney
Ok. so the images can be deceiving. It is black, with the flimsy, flat bendable metal tabs that, at first glance doesn't seem to work at all. HOWEVER, take the overall distance of the hole, mine happened to be a 4" hole. So I will base this instruction for a 4" hole.... There is a small rivet holding the metal brace on, and it is centered. Mark (or hold with your thumb) the flat tab that you will bend at 2" from the center rivet (not from the end of the tab). Bend it backwards, well over 90deg. Repeat on other side. This should basically create enough tension, by bending it backwards to about 45deg (or 135deg from starting flat). Taking from center point 2" on either side, had my creases centered and 4" apart from each other, perfect for the opening in the chimney. Got the thing on with great success in about 20 seconds. (minus 1 star because I had to figure it out, and the pictures are confusing as to what you will actually get). I think I will paint mine.

I tried them both and decided that this one was better than the old one
I was concerned about the mixed reviews, but I am moving and wanted to replace the upscale flue stop in the old house with this, so that I could move the "good" one to the new house. I tried them both and decided that this one was better than the old one, so it is now installed in my new house.

Flue stop
Just needed something to cover a chimney hole in a rental home. Thought I was ordering the one pictured, but got a plain black one.

Exactly what I needed
The fluestop works and fit perfit. Was easy to install. It keeps out the cold and the smoke in the chimney from the pellet stove.
