This is not HD. It's max resolution is 640x480, which is standard definition. The aspect ratio is also 4:3, and not 16:9, meaning that the camera isn't even widescreen. The clip does not stay on its own and you either have to screw the clip tighter, or do what I did, and that's use velcro.I have this webcam plugged into my Android device that I have hooked up to my daughter's TV. Webcam sits on top of the TV while I monitor her during timeouts and bedtimes from my desktop. The quality is, of course, not going to be the best, but you will be able to make out everything happening, and that's what's important. These are good for security and surveillance.I do NOT suggest these for recording video or taking photos. Quality is not something you'll expect. What you'll be receiving is a standard definition Chinese webcam at 480p/4:3, with a cheap clip. You do not want this for YouTube, for example. These cheap cameras are ideal for security and surveillance though, as mentioned before.This is what I expected when purchasing the product. I got what I wanted, so I gave it 5 stars, knowing exactly what I was getting myself into. If you want a real good quality cam at a very affordable price, the Logitech C920 is the "go-to" webcam for media and video calls, as well as photos.

This camera works for general use. Its a decent camera from what I have seen so far. For the most part I love the design with the exception that when it sits on my monitor there is a small spot that it covers. The picture isn't the best but it works. Best use is just for skyping with friends and family or something similar. Wouldn't recommend for streaming on twitch or youtube, or if you need it for business. But for personal general use its not bad for the price.

I wanted a face cam to use for videos and I was on a budget. While it is cheap it can also be very fragile (including the cable). While the cable is long it can also break internally if you're not careful with it. Mine has a short in it but it still works as long as i'm not constantly moving it.

Picture was great. Mic was below average. I returned the webcam after one use. My buddy over Skype (on a test) said that the sound was "tolerable, but not good." I travel a lot for work and want something that clients will not have to 'tolerate.'My old laptop had everything built in, and the quality was much better.If your laptop has a decent mic and you want a cheap and decent picture, this may be for you.

I was excited about this, so I could skype with co-workers. The microphone worked but no video. The computer definitely found the device right away, so it seemed like it was going to be plug n play. I had a couple others see if they could figure it out, but no luck. I’ve contacted the seller who seems eager to resolve this, so 4 Stars just from that aspect.

Works well. The resolution is unexpectedly good. The angle is narrow: on one hand distance it takes only the face, sometimes the face could be cut on the top or on the bottom. The attachment to the laptop is not perfect. I had to tighten the screw for making it more stable. There is no clip. If the laptop is on a table it is OK. If the laptop would be on the lap, the camera could be not stable enough.

This is not in any way a "12 Megapixel HD Camera" (as stated several times in the listing). Actual resolution is 640x480 or .3 Megapixel and you'll only get about 15fps at that resolution (also stated in the listing, buried near the bottom).Now to be fair, this does work as a webcam. Connected to a computer running Windows 7, started Skype, worked with no additional setup. Very light, good length cable, clip works well enough and the ball mount is nice. Those features are the only reason this gets two stars; if you just have to have a webcam this will work (although the webcam on almost any laptop will be higher quality). Not product that was advertised. Not what I paid for so I'm returning it.

I received my Webcam in two days with prime shipping of course. Actual set-up is actually pretty easy. Have it connected to my M2 android tv box. Although I was trying to use it with Skype, I noticed that it has a really bad pixelated look to it. I don't know if I can maybe turn or rotate the actual face of it to make it clearer or what but need to figure it out. So, after purchasing it, I haven't really used it due to this fact. It doesn't really have good focus or have good visual output. So maybe C-
