Amprobe ACD-14-PRO Digital Clamp Multimeter

The newest model of my favorite ACD-14 Pro Trms has advanced even better. No issues thus far and the newly added functions are a neat addition. A lot easier to get my clamp on smaller/tighter control wiring. Keep up the great work Amprobe! Edit: So, it was a good meter but left on a jobsite where of course no one will fess-up whom have seen it (or what have you). Regardless, I had to make this purchase again considering the title. But, I purchased the dual screen instead. A little lighter in the hand. The clamp is a little smaller. Stinks such an old product costs more than the updated one.

I bought this meter to be a backup for the UNI mini meter I bought for my Preventative Maintenance bag and replace the fluke meter that was almost useless. I use it on industrial electrical equipment troubleshooting. It has proved extremely useful as I love the dual display. Won't ever miss the fluke. Accurate for troubleshooting purposes and I love the rubberized coating feel; a reel security feature for dirty hands and thick gloves. Pulled it apart as it came with a burnt electrical smell but couldn't see anything burnt on the board and it all seems to work.

I just received this item and will have to update my review after using it but I wanted to post so everyone who's interested could know what's included in the package as that was unclear when I made my purchase. (I've posted a photo of just what came in the package.) I mainly purchased this because I wanted an AMP meter that also had a capacitance function. I'm not an electrician or mechanical repair tech. by trade so I intend to simply use this around the house, this product, at least on paper meets my requirements while not breaking the bank. I've only powered it on at this point but that was enough to see that the display is small. I have to take off my glasses to see the different modes on the LCD, but so far that's my only complaint. From the products description here on Amazon it wasn't clear what was included with the item or if it was just the meter. Included in the package is obviously the meter, four coin batteries (two installed and two spare), standard meter probes, temp probe, manual and fabric case.

I ordered this meter to replace my old one of the same model. My old one lasted 12 plus years of heavy abuse. It has thin jaws for tight spots. And this brand is NOT made In China which is very important to me.

Just what I was looking for

seems the earlier models pre-2017 from the reviews were problematic. how ever these newer ones advertised as improved post-2016 are top shelf, accurate, and lightweight with all the features an HVACR tech needs for half the price of a fluke 902fc and does inrush which the Fluke does not.. Amprobe is owned by the Fluke corporation and the quality is right up there with Fluke

This review is reference to the acd-14-pro model. This meter is one of my favorites. I have a fluke 324 and this meter to me is way better imo thanks to the large dual display which I use A Lot in the appliance repair field for reading amps and voltage or temperature at the same time. The Build quality is super high end, feels good in hand and light weight. Great for service technicians
