Very Solid Grip!
Honest review: This Battery Grip is not cheap, there are lots of 3rd party options that are much cheaper, this battery pack wont give you any extra shooting boosts as well. Though if you are looking at purchasing this battery power pack, you should already know that and shouldn't dock stars on this item. This battery grip quality is very solid, when you attach it to your camera, it does not wiggle and the added buttons on the Grip makings shooting vertically very convenient. I have had this battery grip for 3 months now and love the extra battery life, though it does make your camera very heavy. I have had no issues with performance and would purchase again! I have a Nikon d7100 that i use this battery pack with, you may not care to use it all the time, but it does come very handy at times. Works and feels better than any 3rd party grip I have tried, don't waste your money getting grips that may work for a little while, invest in getting something you know will work with great quality.

Great Item for your Nikond7100
This a great edition for your camera I have to say after you have a DSLR with a battery grip you cannot go back to not having one. One of the best features of this grip is how it feels in your hand when shooting. Now it does hold an extra battery, the one issue is you have to place your battery in the camera before attaching the grip to the camera, so when you have to charge your battery in the camera you will have to take the grip off. That is the only draw back I have found with this grip and that is not that big of a deal to me. When you purchase this grip you will have to purchase an extra battery for the grip BUT it does come with two batteries trays one for the EN-EL15 battery (like the one that came with your camera) and a second tray for 6-AA Batteries (Note that if you are using AA Batteries it will drain the batteries quickly) but its there for when you are in a fix and need to get a few more shots. When you are using 2 EN-EL15 batteries you basically almost double your shooting capacity. Installing this grip is simple. There is a little rubber strip on the bottom of your D7100, just remove it and then line up the grip and use the finger wheels to screw the grip into your tripod mount. and not to worry there is a tripod mount on the bottom of the grip. So one of the best features of this grip is the controls on the grip that allows you to turn your camera vertical when shooting and keep you hands in their normal positions. And you have buttons on the grip which allow you to make adjustments. You have a shutter release button on the grip, Dials for both shutter and aperture, and your Thumb button to navigate your way through the menu. I have to say this grip feels great in my hands and it fits great to the camera no lose feeling like you get with some cheaper brands. This would be a great addition to your gear. I highly recommend it

Excellent functionality addition to the D7100
It is a 5 star product, except the price point.Does everything you'd expect, and does it as well as the camera. Controls are firm and well built, and has overall sturdy feel that matches the feel of the camera. Ergonomics are prefect and flow from grip to camera flawlessly. Even has an included 6xAA battery holder along with the standard Nikon rechargeable holder. It does add weight and will likely not fit in standard DSLR bags and cases with out adjustment. But in the end $260 is excessive for an already expensive DX camera, (and why sin't the battery grip universial for the current line of Nikon DSLR's?!?)

A great addition to my D7100 Camera System
An investment into my D7100 system that provides a great feel and strong grip in the vertical format. Also adds just a bit more room for a comfortable horizontal hold. All the buttons have good positive responses and the toggle has strong click points for navigating.Yes, it cost a premium price but I can justify it by saying I have added to my camera system and protected my Nikon USA extended warranty should anything happen to my camera while operating with the grip. The fit is perfect as one might expect from Nikon and the weight is not all that bad for adding an EN-EL15 battery within the magnesium case of the hand grip.I looked at about a half dozen after market clones of this MB-D15 battery grip and read many reviews about poor quality, flimsy construction, thin plastic etc but;I have none of those worries with my Nikon battery grip.

Rugged, highly functional. Don't settle for aftermarket battery grips.
This is a must have for enthusiast to pro level photographers who own the D7100 or D7200 camera. Enhances the feel and function of the camera and provides power options - whether it be EN-EL15 OEM battery, rechargeable NiMH AA's, or traditional Alkaline AA's.Forget the third party / aftermarket battery grips - The fit and finish is not even close. This Nikon built MB-D15 is unsurpassed in ruggedness and "locked in" fit to the D7100 or D7200. When this unit is installed, it literally feels like one solid piece - rigidly attached to teh camera and seam lines become indistinguishable. This is in sharp contrast to after-market battery grips that feel wobbly, insecure, and induce faults in the camera electronics due to connection interface issues. This is a premium Nikon accessory - and, yes it's priced that way. But this unit is designed to be driven hard - it will last the life of your camera.

Perfect fit
There are not a lot of things in this world that I love, but this I love. It assists in saving the battery changing time in my camera but it also allows for ergonomic photography. The D7100 is a fantastic "Prosumer" camera, but this grip changes it to Professional in a heart beat. Worth every dime and will last years. The last Nikon Grip I used was on a D200 I purchased many years ago, I never regretted a day of its use, and even when I broke it by dropping it by accident, it worked and continues to work to this day. I am not a fan of after market grips, and this is no exception. Because it is from Nikon I trust it and I think the extra money is well worth it, knowing that I will not damage my camera.
