As Good as Spare Air at one third the cost. Yes, it's made in China! Buy it before Tarrifs makes it cost more.I bought 2 of them. I am waiting for the portable compressor I bought to fill and try them out.Get scuba certified so you don't injure yourself.

I love being in the water and this is very practical for diving, it's easy to assemble and fill, it doesn't leak and I like that, now I can spend more time underwater.

Update 10.10.2023:Unfortunately I have to revise my rating. The bottle is already leaking after 3-4 uses. The filled gas does not stay in the bottle and escapes. It was not possible to contact the retailer and a refund is only possible if I cover the shipping costs.Although this bottle shipped with Amazon Global, it was delivered fairly quickly. It didn't even take a full week before I had the scuba tank at home.Full of anticipation, I unpacked it straight away and I was amazed by the high-quality of this scuba tank. The setup was very easy and quickly . The only thing that took a little time was pumping it up with the hand pump. But of course there are other pumps for this case.To put it in a nutshell: I had a full 15 minutes of diving fun underwater with this scuba tank.

First of all, I must emphasize that the use of self contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA), as this product, must be done after attending a scuba diving course. This is life support equipment and not a toy, even for shallow depths of less than 10m (33ft). Most scuba diving pressure related accidents occur during ascent from shallow depths. I know this because I am an open water scuba instructor.In the past, use of similar units as the Smaco (Spare Air) were used mainly as an emergency redundant system for cases of equipment failure at depth.Always fill with filtered AIR from a reputable dive shop or use the tank adapter to cascade air from a full scuba tank. The use of manual pumps or portable compressors, despite the use of filters that absorb mainly particles and humidity, will not filter impurities in the air and this effect will be compounded as depth increases. Just check the filters used in compressors at commercial dive shops and you will get the idea. Even if the intended use of this unit is shallower than 10m (33ft) you must take precautions.You must also know that the cylinders must undergo annual inspections and 5 year hydraulic tests that should be done at dive shops. The date stamped on my tank is 04/23.During test of the Smaco tank, breathing resulted smoothly and with little resistance. Purge button worked as expected.As additional precaution, never leave a filled tank in the sun for it will result in an over pressure that could result in a burst pressure relief disc. At first glance, after opening this item, I was instantly pleased with the construction and quality of the product. The packaging kept the item secure and damage free. The cylinder seems to be well constructed as well as the regulator. The mouthpiece is a high-quality silicone. This bottle is easily fillable off of a standard scuba tank with a readily available refill adapter. I am very excited for this product and I believe it will make a great addition to my other gear.

Everything works how it's supposed to and has no leaks. It was easy to assemble and to fill with air. I really like that it has multiple ways to refill.

This could be a fun thing for backyard pool playing, or maybe even playing in the surf at the shore, but it takes 20-30 minutes of difficult - I can't overstate how difficult this thing is to pump and how much force is required to get it to depress - nay, incredibly difficult pumping just to get 6-8 minutes of use. But, you won't want to use the tank because your arms and back will be dead and you'll be so tired/out-of-breath that you won't want to get in the water for a while.Just don't do it. If you really, really want/need this - go somewhere and get a full tank that you can fill this off of. You'll actually use it if you do, and save the money on a pump you won't want to use anyway.
