Q: what is the weight capacity?

Note that "30,000 lbs tensile strength" means 30,000 pounds PER SQUARE INCH. For a 5/8" pin the cross section is about 0.307 sq. in., so the tensile (not shear) strength would be about 9,200 lbs. But these pins are used in double shear, never in tension. One would need to know the shear strength to do the math. Another source also lists similar pins at 30,000 lbs shear strength, which still would be psi, not total pounds of force. Applying the math gets you back to 9,200 lbs in single shear, ASSUMING my source meant single shear. Double shear would then get you close to 18,000, but keep in mind that's the ultimate strength, not the working load or safe load, which would be a lot less. Let's guess at a safe working load of 10,000 lbs. That's not the weight capacity, but the pulling capacity. Also, none of this speaks to the bearing capacity, which is determined by the metal in which the pin holes are drilled. If you get a good enough pin, the bearing capacity will be the limiting factor. PS: It's "shear," as in cut off (like shearing a sheep), not "sheer" as in "so sheer I can see through it."

It's for 2 inch , 1 1/4" uses 1/2 inch diameter , this is 5/8" diameter and is longer than some 5/8" diameter might fit a 2 1/2".
