Strong magnets!
Got these magnets for our Runaway Venturist camper to keep the doors from slamming into the trailer because of the wind. They are very powerful. We decided to go with a bit stronger adhesive to attach to our trailer other than the ones that came with it. We used 3M double stick tape with the red backing. I don't think we will even have to use the provided screws!

Recommend smaller screws, but great product.
For installation on a RV, the screws can't be as long as the ones that are included. The door is not that think. The two sided tape is a great idea and makes installation much easier. Thanks.

Strong Magnets, Great Size, Good Price
The magnetic door catch was the perfect size & it was very cost efficient. The magnets did exactly what it was purchased for, to keep the door from swinging back while in use..BUT, what I was not impressed with, was the backing adhesive tape. It wasnt the 3m tape that it really should & needed to be.. the adhesive on the tape just wasnt strong enough to hold the magnetics in place. So I dont suggest just depending on the adhesive backing tape to hold it where its placed, because it will come off & you definitely will need to use a nail or screw for wherever that you do plan on placing this magnetic door catch. But all in all its a great strong magnet that does work as long as you mount it with either nails or screws & not depend just soley on the adhesive tape.

Exact size for part it replaced
The plastic magnetic catches on our RV were deteriorating from UV exposure. These magnets were the same size as the original parts, so the screw holes lined up exactly. It was an easy replacement at a reasonable cost. The double stick tape provided worked well and will help assure the attachment screws won't accidentally work loose.

Really easy to install
These things are the best thing to hold a slam door on your camper. I have a 2014 Sandpiper 5th wheel camper and the large door that covers the under floor storage had the white plastic tee slot type of latches to hold door up out of your way . First off the latches were hard to get to . It almost takes two people to hold and latch the door on both ends at the same time. We recently went to an RV dealer and were looking at newer models and they had these magnets to hold up the slam door. I said to my wife ... I have to get us some of these... And I found them here. I had a bright idea on how to install these. I put a piece of 3M double sided tape that I had in my RC plane building supplies. I put it on the back side of all 4 magnets. First I removed all 16 screws from the old latches and cleaned up around the holes. I placed the latches where I wanted on my door approx 1" in and 8 inches up from bottom. by using the servo tape they stay put while I used the screws that came out of my latches because the magnets came with no hardware. then I put the magnets on top of their mating ones with the servo tape on them and when I raised the door up the magnets stuck exactly where they needed to go . I pushed ou them really good to allow the tape to hold them. Than I slowly pulled the door away breaking the magnet bond and added 4 more screws to them . done! all I had to do was fill the holes up with white silicone to hide the 16 holes left behind .... problem solved !!!!

They work well very strong magnets
The magnets are strong and work well these should be on all RV’s, however they should come with shorter stainless screws rather than long galvanized as they are going outside. Magnets are great screws that come with them are not purchase shorter stainless screws

Fantastic
Very strong magnets. I have one set that is only barely touching and it still holds the door up without any issues. Easy to install. I highly recommend.

These are so much better than those old baggage clip thingees...
Anyone who owns an RV and has those baggage clips to hold open their storage doors knows how annoying they can be. You need 2 hands to get it to stay open. Well with these you open door and snap...it stays. Why didnt I get these sooner? Also they are good quality and will outlast the sun baked baggage clips.Recommended! And the $ was decent!
