Beautiful and Valuable!
Like MJ DeMarco’s other two books, I’ve read all three in a row and enjoyed and benefited from understanding the inner workings of how the wealthy get and stay wealthy. The example in the book helps me understand how to model and execute on his teachings by painting the story of Jeff and Sam.I’ll be joining his fastlane forum having read his books with no fear, as he has built a productocrasy that’s won me over!

The first book I've read that covers so many stages of the journey
Many books are about the beginning, middle of the business creation and development. This is the first book I've read that actually makes an effort to cover the whole journey and beyond with a decently written parable that actually has some touching and enjoyable moments. Me and my partner both run businesses of 3 and 6 years respectively and this book was able to firmly pinpoint the stages our businesses are at mad what they are missing at their current progress. It also put into financial perspective the actual value of true freedom that wasn't completely tangible before. If you're goal is to escape the rat race, this book is a must read for getting in the mindset for achieving it.

The best novel/guide to change your life
The only part I don’t like is about the veganism as suppose to be good.Unfortunately, healthy and environment speaking agriculture is damaging as/ maybe more than meat production. Where you create crops, you are still using pesticides etc. destroy living habitats/micro fauna. From the healthy point of view is partially true. Mass meat production is bad though but today they are more interesting initiatives to look for…ethically you can choose whatever you want but don’t forget how we’re arrived here (as humans). And still, to survive as a vegan, you have to kill; plants don’t want to be eaten…but still you can’t hear them complain so it sounds fair…for the untrained scientist. If we switch the focus on the book though, I really like it; all sounds realistic and it’s really engaging and with a lot of suggestions that are summing up all DeMarco teaching. A must read.

Well, I enjoyed the fiction sections - to hell with the rest of you
I only decided to write this review because I noticed a few people complaining about the fiction sections and an alleged endorsement of veganism. In response to the first criticism, I would say that the point of the fictional chapters is to illustrate the content of the non-fiction chapters which preceded it, or will follow it. It is not, to my eyes, meant to be a classic work of fiction; although, you don’t have to work hard to empathise with the plight of the characters. To the latter rebuke, I would say that I did not see any endorsement of veganism. One of the fictional characters is vegan and the other is not. As a matter of fact, the vegan character is shown to be quite a loon ball who gets angry when her lifestyle is referred to as a diet. Even if it were the case that the author himself pins his name to the vegan flag, to get up in arms about it is to completely miss one of the first key principles described, which is to not go looking for things to be outraged by, and to mind your own business.Seeing people complain for ridiculous reasons makes me sick, and for that reason I have decided to rate this book 5 stars.

best book I’ve ever read! financial freedom here I come!
I’ve read both of MJ’S preceding books and love how he states what in plain sight of how we are all living based on a script the 1% want us to live. There is no way I’m going to be retiring at 67 with a gold wheelchair! I’m going to live my life unscripted and remove myself from the rat race! Thank you MJ for a crazily insightful book which highlights everything I’m doing wrong in life to get my freedom!

I’m glad I found it
This book is an extension of the previous one( the millionaire fast lane)Most of the lesson here I already grasped when I read the millionaire fast lane but this book really put the principles in perspective.Surprisingly the story of Jaff and Samantha is quite Similar to our story Ali and Sara.Iam a rat doctor at the moment and my wife is a nurse. We think day and night How can we escape. We started our first business and we will break the cage in 3 years Inshaa Allah

Eye opening
Although the financial terms mentioned apply only to someone living in the US, the lessons are universal. It has probably been the first time I've read a novel with a mix of business advice in one book. The fictional couple's story draws you in, making you relate to the bleak reality that shows why so many ordinary households struggle to get out of the rat race. Definitely worth reading more than once.

Mindset changing
An excellent summary of the world system appropriately called the rat race. And then practical steps on how to get out of it. This book has really changed my mindset and motivated me to take action to get out of the rat race.
