BEST SMART LOCK on the market.....small, clean design, easy to install.
I've installed just about all the smart locks that are on the market today, and this one is by far the BEST. My issues with other brands I've installed is the overall size of the back of the locks due to the technology on the inside. They all work well, aren't aesthetically pleasing. The Level Lock blends with any door, all technology is embedded into the deadlock, and most would not even know it is a smart lock. I refer to these locks as the Apple of Smart locks. Sleek & Clean product designs, works perfectly, easy to install, and the packaging is beautiful. Worth every penny. I now have two in my home and connected both to Apple Home Kit as I also have several Leviton Lighting Controls and other Smart devices. All integrated onto my Apple Home Kit. I communicate to Siri on when I want my doors open/locked or even the status on if it is open/unlocked. I HIGHLY recommended these Locks. included before and after shots of the install.

Small inconspicuous lock
Great little lock, easy to swap out from existing hardwarecouple of gripes - though the lock itself is hollow with the battery inside, a couple of good tackles into the door and someone might be able to get through, if you live in an area with bold thieves who aren't afraid of who/what's inside the home, this lock may not be for you. The lock mechanism itself is quite weak and I had to adjust the door catch as it wouldn't fully extend or retract otherwise.Overall great product it fits my needs, it doesn't even look like a smart lock and opens with a touch through the phone, easy to share codes with timed access too.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Weak lock do not buy
This is a terrible lock. First of all the package they sent was missing installation hardware that I had to improvise on, no big deal and I could have lived with that. The motor is so under powered that it could barely slide the bolt even after putting a new battery in it still was weak. The app worked the lock but said mechanical problem each time. The actual bolt is hollow and made of weak metal that I feel like I could bend in my hand. So for something that is supposed to provide protection from intruders and protect your family it is horrible. The knob on the inside of the door detaches and wobbles and feels like it would spin completely if it were used for an extended period of time. This is an honest review of a terrible product I truly hope that anyone looking for this type of lock reads this and shops elsewhere as this is purely an inferior product in every way.

Are there no good smart locks?
I am all-in on the smart home ecosystem. I love all my smart home devices, even the ones that make me frustrated when they don't work how they're supposed to. There's devices that work nearly full time, 24/7/365 without issue. Then there's devices that work 98%+ of the time. Then there's devices that fit into one of those two categories until suddenly there's no telling when they're online, offline, working fine or completely dead. The Level Lock is one of those devices.I own two Level Locks. One is the invisible deadbolt mechanism, the other is this one. Both have given me problems. This one just stopped working one day. No warning. Just dead. Turns out, the battery died. Oops.So I buy this obscure battery that is sold nowhere locally (CR2 battery). Hey, now it doesn't connect anymore. Factory reset time. Works great! Then one day, "device offline". So I open the Level app and connect via bluetooth. Try to set it back up on wi-fi, but no success. Factory reset time. Works great! Then it stopped working again. Can't connect via wi-fi or bluetooth. Factory reset time.If you browse the reddit forums relating to Home Automation, you'll see this is a common issue. There's few truly GOOD smart locks out there. Level had the chance to be the nicest looking, most consistent, and best overall smart lock, but they've dropped the ball. They are battery hogs, even if you don't use any automation features. Simply manually turning the lock with your hand will drain the battery a decent amount. And the connection problems seem to pop up after each firmware update. In the end, I don't have any smart home locks I'd recommend right now. Level is not consistent enough to justify the price nor the headache. If you want a tip, avoid the Level app if you have Home Assistant running on your network. It is far easier to install the lock, start the pairing process and then let HA discover it and add it to your network. I've found it much more useful that way, plus you don't have to have yet another smart home app on your phone that you never use. I'm sure there's features I'm missing by doing it this way, but I think the HA bluetooth connection is much better compared to letting these locks try to communicate via wi-fi.
