My first Bosch . I bought this plug set up I was irritated it required the plug accessory unlike other brands . Then after completing the install I found the same harness that was in the dishwasher . Anyway if you need this it is a great fit and easy to install

Does the job!
My old dishwasher was hard-wired. When I tried to install my new Bosch (love it!!!) it expected a standard plug. I installed this little widget and everything was perfect. It took about 90 minutes to install - since I had never does this type of work before.

Necessary for permanent mounting
Installed a new Bosch dishwasher and was surprised that it had a standard plug connection. There wasn’t a way to hardwire the dishwasher directly to the wire that extends from the wall. So, this became a necessary purchase. It works and was easy to install and use, but ideally it should be included with the purchase of the dishwasher.

This Bosch Junction Box Will Arc...Please Be Careful!
We've had a Bosch 500 dishwasher for nine years and it was installed with this Bosch junction box. Our dishwasher quit suddenly a few days ago with no prior issues...just suddenly had no power at the dishwasher. Upon further investigation we found there had been arcing inside the Bosch Junction Box which melted through one of the wires completely. This may have been the result of wires not being tightened enough on the junction box terminals during the original installation, however the damage was impressive. We're just thankful this didn't cause a house fire. Our dishwasher has its own 120 VAC circuit with a dedicated circuit breaker which did not trip during this arcing evolution.I've attached a photo of the inside of the Bosch Junction Box. The junction box seals tightly so we never smelled any burning odor until it was opened this morning.

Worked with my Bosch Dishwasher
I used it with my Bosch dishwasher. As far as I can tell it could have been a straight power cord plugging into a standard outlet. The "junction box" probably justified the price and you end up spending more on a power cord with open ends to connect into the "junction box". German engineering (SMH)?
