Hypnosis - No Trance Required
James Tripp has finally put his thoughts, techniques and methodology down in book form. His approach to hypnosis is like a dance. Both participants, the operator (hypnotist) and co-operator (client/subject) flow along together with the hypnotist leading the subject further and further into various hypnotic phenomena. James spends quality time dissecting and explaining his approach so that the reader has a complete road map for putting HWT into practice immediately. I’ve always loved learning from James as he truly is curious about how hypnosis works and the experiences his subjects are having. He reminds us of the power utilization and pacing and leading have in creating a hypnotic loop where ideas can be seeded. The book is well written and presented for beginners as well as seasoned hypnosis professionals. All who have an interest in how to induce hypnosis will find golden nuggets in these pages.

Excellent Users Manual for Influencers
I’m reading my fellow Hypnotists’ book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For James Tripp, It’s a deep deep dive into The Mind.I’m personally working with Self Hypnosis - working directly with the cognitive process that creates my experience of the moment.💎 these are a few Diamonds From the book : 💎♥️ “Hypnosis is the Engagement of Beliefs and Imagination via verbal and non verbal communication to facilitate an altered desired subjective reality. You can learn to use language skillfully to Direct Attention, Lead Cognition and Evoke Feeling in yourself and others in order for any desired experience of subjective reality. What we perceive is an interpretation and experiential construct of what’s going on inside that is projected outside. We live in a world as our minds make it up to be.We pull in the data from our senses and filter it through the Matrix of unconscious beliefs thus shaping our experience of every moment. When we are firm in our beliefs we experience it as reality. Beliefs are changed with the use of ♥️ Hypnosis”.You will learn to Change the mind & Change reality.

Wish I had this book when I started...
Great book. A straightforward, actionable presentation of the the stuff hypnotists do that works. I've had a successful full-time hypnotherapy practice for almost 20 years. I would have been a better hypnotist sooner if I'd read this when I got started. Recommended for sure.

for practical, usable, how-to information, this is the real deal
I didn't get a lot of *new* information from this because I'm familiar with James' work, but it was completely worth reading, and I'll be going through it again soon. I've checked out a fair number of hypnosis teachers/trainers over the last eight years or so, but there are only a small handful that I would recommend learning from, and James is at the top of that short list.

Pretty Much Fantastic
Mr. Tripp does an excellent job of explaining his model for hypnosis, simultaneously demystifying the subject and providing a clear, concise map for generating and experiencing hypnosis. Absolutely recommended!

A MUST read book if you want to understand hypnosis, language or influence
This instantly became one of my favorite books! Very few books in my life have I read and immediately reread but hypnosis without trance is one them. I've trained with the top hypnotists in the world and in this book James adds a perspective unseen anywhere else. The use use of presuppositions, body language, rapport techniques makes this book essential for any street hypnotist or hypnotherapist. I couldn't put it down. The principles are universal and can be learned by the novice but the techniques provide a road map for application for even the most advanced hypnotists.

Too wordy.
The content seems good & makes sense but I can't get through the book bec what he can say in a few words he says in many words. That makes it confusing & time consuming as I have to read things 2-3 times to get it clear.

Contradicting
He is a good salesman, granted. And maybe even a good Hypnotist. But one has to admire the audacity with which some guy who didn’t even finish school tries to judge a phenomenon - consciousness and trance - that some of the best scientists are struggling with.In fact: he claims things without the tiniest proof or logical argument. However, the best Hypnotist ever, Milton H. Erickson, also didn’t have a very sound theoretical basis for these subject matters, because you don’t need one.Hypnosis works!

Very bright and useful book about hypnosis
James Tripp's views on hypnosis are deep, original and slightly provocative. He abandoned the concept of "hypnotic trance" and focused on communication and collaboration between co-operators. The philosophy underlying his work is systemic and humanistic. The book contains many interesting and useful ideas. All explanations are detailed and clear. Examples are easy to understand.Great book!

New approach to hypnosis excellent for both beginner and experience
James Tripp, the author, is an articulate and thoughtful highly experienced practitioner of hypnosis and change work. He is a great teacher and speaker. This book extends the insights into hypnosis that started with James Braid 170 years ago - that hypnosis is a collaborative process that is interactive even though the external appearance is of an "operator" and "co-operators" his terms for attempting to change the jargon. These terms are still metaphors connected to the programming computer metaphor so popular in the NLP, psychology, hypnosis and psychotherapy communities. The book really does re-cognise that the process of hypnosis is really a form of coaching or maybe seduction which brings out the innate superpowers or magic of the mind-body. The book takes the next step away from the frame that a hypnotist does something to the hypnotised. He certainly helps engender the respect that all good hypnotists have for their partners in the process. It is very practical step by step reframe of hypnosis and (though not the direct target) NLP, because of it alignment with that art and science. By the end of this book you will have a great foundation for an ethical and respectful practice of hypnosis for fun and therapy.
