LS2Helmets Modular Strobe Helmet

I think..It's going to depend on what you're expecting to how happy you'll be with this helmet.In many ways it compares to some much much more expensive helmets. It's pretty comfy. The weight is good. The opening mechanism is nice and positive and locks at the top.The internal visor comes down a decent distance and doesn't do that irritating half closed thing that some seem to think is enough.. It isn't unless you're a sport bike rider looking up under a helmet.I've read people comparing them to Shoei.. nyehh. I wouldn't go that far.It's very good value, but Shoei has nicer interiors. They somehow fit tighter yet are more comfortable, which is incredibly important.ShoeI notoriously is very glasses wearer friendly, and this helmet, confusingly has a couple of embroidered logos of glasses on the interior that say "GLASSES" under them, yet have no grooves available to allow a nicer fit for glasses, so I'm not sure what they were going for there. Makes me wonder if the interior is from a different model and they just re-used it?Regardless, it wasn't a subtle thing. It's truly painful and holding my frames against my temples and behind my ears. I don't have a particularly large face, but I guess we're all built differently.A Shoei does have the integral seam between pads that allows glasses frames.The visor fogs intensely quickly on this one. It does have the spaces for a pinlock, so add another 25-30 to the price for that. Comes as standard with the modular Shoei.*EDIT*I bought and installed the pinlock shield, which works flawlessly.The sunshade however still fogs up just as badly.. I'm going to try some of the anti fogging balms available on Amazon. I figured that way I can also treat my glasses, which is likely something I should do anyway.The most surprising thing about the pinlock visor is that it actually stops my glasses fogging. It's as though it wicks to the visor itself instead of other objects close to it.. Just unfortunately not when the sunshade is down. I guess it puts a barrier between the wicking surface and I'm again stuck with my lenses near a fogging plastic. :/The strap is very secure feeling and finds it's way together easily with gloved hands. I actually really like this kind of strap and won't be in a hurry to go back to a D-ring setup. The modular Shoei's still use D-rings, and only the very latest one will have this kind of strap. It is also 700 dollars. :)One of the only cons is the outer visor removal disks are really cheap feeling. The lock and unlock on the exterior, and just have no resistance at all to this part. It feels like they could literally drop or be brushed open.That may not be enough to remove the visor, as both would have to fly free at the same time and rotated, but still.. It feels cheap, and really nothing else does on the helmet.If this had thicker cheek pads and actually did have a groove for glasses frames, I think it would be an astonishing buy, but for me.. It's too damn painful with my glasses to wear, and because that's why I bought it, I'll have to return. I can't fault it too much though. It's a bargain. Can't say I'm going to enjoy paying likely around 4-600 for a Shoei to replace it though. :/I do remember reading that it's crash rating was iffy on the left side only but fine everywhere else, so perhaps they intended this one to be a higher niche market price, and lowered it accordingly because of this test? It would explain the features at least.Reviews seen here are tremendously varied.. I actually measured at a size large but sized up to XL due to some reviews saying it ran small.In my opinion it doesn't It runs absolutely spot on as the XL is a borderline loose fit, and I could have worn a large, but I fear the glasses issue would have been even more severe.I requested information from the seller on whether I could replace the internal cheekpads with larger ones (one from say, an XXXL) to boost snugness in an area that could use it, but have gotten no reply.Recommended, but like most helmets, see if you can try it on first.*update*I gave up on it. I tried it for a season, and I learned to make it work, but the intense pain the glasses issue was causing was just too much.I also found the XL to be getting a little sloppy on me, so I could have done with wearing a large, but.. I mean the pain would have been worse.It's highly possible this was a bad fit for specifically my head, but yeah.. Again try it on.I did end up jumping in further than I wanted and bought the modular Shoei. I bought this LS2 helmet to avoid spending out on the Shoei, but that's how it goes sometimes.. :DIt fits just absolutely perfectly. The glasses really do have a channel in the cheek pads on the Shoei.The price difference is imminence, but so is the comfort.I'll keep the strobe as my backup. You never know what might happen, but I won't look forward to wearing it again.

I ordered the 3XL matt black and have to say that the helmet fits perfectly, I have no pressure on my forehead compared to my previous helmet HJC Is Max 2. The LS2 Helmet also feels strong on the outer shell of the helmet. The side cushions do press against my glasses a bit, but that's not bad compared to how well the helmet fits.

My initial impression: This is a good deal considering there aren't many options for long oval shaped heads. Especially for modular helmets. Other helmets give me a hot spot on my forehead and leaves a red mark. This helmet doesn't have that problem. And it's a great value at $150. Not as good as some of the $500+ helmets I've owned, but the ls2 strobe is surprisingly good.

Great product. Affordable, but not flimsy or "Cheap" looking. Great vendor, very quick.

This model fits my oval head shape perfectly! So it feels amazingly comfortable. My head measurement indicated that I should order a large. Well, ordered an XL and it fits just right.The only bad part is that the wind whistles when the vents are open and that’s very annoying.

This is the second motorcycle helmet I've owned. The first one, well, might have been a car racing helmet. It was a SNELL rated helmet I got to do Autocross, but when I got my endorsement 5 years ago, I wore it as my motorcycle helmet. Since I just got a new bike this year, I figured I'd upgrade my helmet.My first purchase was a Bell Revolution Evo helmet. I got a Large, and it fit pretty snug. The problem with that one was that I wear glasses and not contacts, and couldn't get my glasses to fit under the Bell one. Did more research, and found this one works. They even have a glasses patch sewn into the area where the frame arms go, to show you that this helmet is friendly with glasses. Not sure why they don't adversise it on this product page?Anyway, I'm happy with the helmet. Doesn't feel as solid as the Bell did, but I trust that if they say this is DOT approved, it should be safe. There are things I like, and things I'm less impressed with.First thing I noticed is the air flow from the vents is very minimal. You barely know you're getting fresh air, even at 45mph. And the chin air vent is kind of annoying. It's shoots right up your nose. It's a gentle breeze, not enough to really be distracting, but does feel odd. My first few rides so far have been while the outside temps have been below average during the summer. 65-73 degrees. So I've yet to ride in 90 degree temps yet. Kinda dreading it knowing how low the airflow is.The visor will fog up in the brisk morning commute at stoplights. But wasn't as bad as my previous helmet. But it never advertised that it was a "fog buster" visor. But again, with the low airflow of the helmet vents, it took a little longer than my previous one to defog. The other one was instant as soon as you started moving.This is my first ratchet strap helmet. While I like how it fits. It's easy to strap and unstrap, I kinda miss the old way because I actually had something to hold onto while carrying the helmet. The straps on these are short. I'm afraid I'm going to drop it while trying to grab the straps to put the helmet on.The chin flap is nice for the cooler rides. It kept my chin/neck from getting hit with the cold morning air. But wish there was a way to easily conceal it for warmer rides, because it does mess up my beard when I take the helmet on and off. :)The flip-down shade is a nice feature, but I think I will only use it when I forget to pack my prescription sunglasses. It's a cheap feeling thin piece of film. If you were to ride with the visor up and the shade down, I feel that if a bug hits it, it will crease the shade.The field of view using this helmet seems wider than my old one. I can see more of the road, and less of the helmet. The helmet is night and light. Feels much smaller than the Bell Revolution Evo, and doesn't feel like it would snap your neck. The Bell had a bit of weight to it, and turning your head quickly side to side, you feel the extra momentum continue through when you've stopped. This LS2 feels snappy with quick head turns.My rides to work are about 40 minutes long. While testing the helmet, I thought it felt like it would give me a headache on longer rides, but so far it's been fine. There seems to be more pressure on the top area of your forehead, and ears. I wish there was a pocket for the ears to rest inside of.Overall, I would have prefered to keep the $50 more Bell, but needed something that would work with my glasses. This does the trick.

Love the look and build. But just a little snug and also I confirmed with customer support that this helmet was not designed in mind of using bluetooth and that the space in the ear area will be tight with the speakers.

Helm passt von Größe ganz genau und drückt nicht. Sitzt stabil wie es sein sollte und dichtet auch gut ab am Kinn und HalsSonnenblende ist einfach bedienbar auch mit Handschuhe sowie das Visier.Die Rezession wird in Frühling ergänzt, bis dahin wartet es noch auf ersten EinsatzNachtrag - Helm ist TOP bei Tragekomfort und Sicht (wirklich großes Sichtfeld).Ab 80 kmh wird lauter, Ohrstopsel sind auf jedenfall empfehlenswert.Visier beschlägt sich in Stand bei Kälte ziemlich schnell, evtl Pinlock Scheibe nachrüsten.Belüftung ist auch für sommerliche Temperaturen seht gut (bin bei 29 grad gefahren und war auf keinesfall zu warm) helle Farbe vorausgesetzt.Die 5 Sterne sind voll verdient !

Está bien para su precio. Tiene buenos acabados. Muy cómodo abierto. Cerrado se empaña y puesto un rato termina doliendo la mandibula, es mi talla, imagino que es una cuestión de las almoadillas que son muy nuevas.

Me pareció cómodo, aunque me parece que le falta algo de protección en la parte interna arriba. Además esta un tanto corto, eso también hace sentir esa sensación de que falta protección, ya que al jalarlo hacia abajo para cubrir una mayor parte de la nuca entonce se siente estar topando muy rápido con la parte dura del casco internamente, lo que genera ese sentimiento de que falta seguridad, es una sensación, no lo he comprobado (ni espero hacerlo) por ello doy 4 de 5.

Si tienes prognatismo o el mentón largo, lo vas a sufrir porque te tocará la barbilla en el plástico. Hace un ruido tolerable, tampoco hay que pedir mucho a uno de los cascos mas normalitos que existe. No tiene salida de aire, solo entradas. En verano auguro cabezas hervidas

En nuestro caso hemos comprado el blanco para mi y el negro mate para mi chico y nos parece una excelente opción a nivel de calidad-precio. Mi chico hace un uso diario ya que es el medio de transporte que utiliza para ir a trabajar y yo hago un uso puntual cuando voy con él. Después de una semana de uso, estamos satifechos y contentos. Viene muy bien acolchado y trae una pegatinas reflectantes para ponerle a nuestro gusto. En nuestro caso hemos comprado una talla más por si acaso y hemos acertado, nos queda bien ajustado.
