Paired with a light stand this is a very economical way to get your hair light in three-point lighting. Not as sturdy as a C-Frame but it gets the job done in a small studio space. The quality is good for what it is. Great for attaching a bounce card or a lightweight overhead light. Fast delivery. Good value.

The boom itself is fairly lightweight. The inclusion of a counterweight bag is great. But the actual screw to secure your light is horrible. Poorly machined, bad material, easily strips. It stripped on Day 2. (This means is that nothing will fully "tighten," and instead just keep turning/twisting but always stay loose).I ended up attaching my light a different way, bypassing the screw directly, so I'm getting by. BIG emphasis on horribly machined screw, though. Two sides of the screw are flat, and not even threaded.Price, weight, and counterweight are all that's going for it.

Works as described

A decent boom arm that i've been using to hold studio strobes with softboxes over tables for product photography. I have a "set it and forget it" kind of setup but the plastic parts on this boom arm make me wonder how long this thing will last. The plastic doesn't feel particularly dense or strong.

This is acceptable for a low-cost extention arm. The nylon cord at one end is flimsy. The weight bag is a great way to add balance, but is rather flimsy. K. Kelsoe

This is a great product. High quality for price and has worked out well for me.

Just not strong enough to support my Einstein strobe

I know there are better boom poles, but these came in handy in a pinch. They were more sturdy than I was expecting, but still pretty cheaply constructed.
