Works, but you need to know what sorts of mosquitoes you have
This product (Lurex) works with all models of the Mosquito Magnet and with many models of the SkeeterVac. I have found that it does seem to increase the catch rate of the daytime biting Tiger mosquitoes over just using the CO2/heat/moisture of the MM/SV alone. However you'll need Octenol for all of the night biters so unless you have multiple traps around your yard (as I do) you'll need to pick & choose which type of mosquito is most prevalent in your area. (I read elsewhere that Tiger mosquitoes are actually repelled by Octenol so sadly you really do have to pick & choose one.)Oddly, on my SkeeterVac's TacTrap (SkeeterVac CPSX000021 TacTrap Replacements) I've discovered that other pests seem to prefer either Lurex or Octenol too (Mosquito Magnet OCTENOL3 Octenol Biting Insect Attractant, 3-Pack). Flying cockroaches, for example, are most commonly trapped in my SkeeterVac TacTrap running Lurex, while horse flies and house flies seem to prefer getting stuck in the SkeeterVac TacTrap running Octenol. Gnats and no-see-ums get stuck both places and/or vacuumed up into the SV (Blue Rhino SV3100 SkeeterVac Mosquito Eliminator, 1-Acre Coverage) or MM (Mosquito Magnet MM4100 Patriot Mosquito Trap) fan/screen trap.

Works with my Flowtron mosquito device.
Decided to buy this attractant for my Flowtron heavy duty insect zapper because i read one reviewer say that he zip tied the plastic canister to the outside grill of the unit. IT IS WORKING GREAT to attract those mosquitos and as they haphazardly fly around it, they inevitably get near the electric grill and get zapped! That’s the point right?! So, although it’s meant to be inserted into a different device, it is working for mine as well. This is a great price for 3 canisters of Lurex3 which is what i need for south FLA.... Thanks to the reviewer for the idea of attaching to Flowtron device.. and thanks to Wodstream for making a powerful Lurex3 attractant in a strong plastic container that seems to not let water in and enough holes to let the product out into the air.

Zapalicious
bought a humongous bug zapper but it came with a different kind of attractant than is supposed to be required in my zone, so I got these. though it doesn't seem to be getting as many mosquitoes to the zapper as I'd like, there is a definite difference outside. I attached the first canister to the chair I'm using to hold the zapper, but I'll attach the next one directly to the zapper (in hopes that might encourage more mosquitoes to enter the zapper).these canisters are supposed to be replaced monthly, which is much better than the every-100-hours change-out suggested for the attractant pads that came with the zapper. I leave the zapper on all the time and a new pad every four days would be crazy expensive. I'm going to leave this one in place for five or six weeks, just to see if there's a noticeable difference after installing the next one. if it's like night and day, I'll be back to give the lurex cartridges a fifth star. but right now I'm very happy with the zapper's performance (and I've been using the lurex since day 1).

Need refund!
I would like a refund on this batch. We have used this system for years but the current order/batch has not been one bit effective & we are being eaten alive. Plus, the first case of West Nile Virus has been reported in the Houston area; typically, the 1st case isn't reported until August. Please beware & consider ordering directly from the manufacturer as they can guarantee results or replace order...something I seem to not have the ability to process vis Amazon?

Take back your yard!
I'm more than satisfied with this product. I live in north Texas and decided to go on the offensive this year after being bitten several times despite using repellant and discovering the mosquitos were looking for gaps where I sprayed it. After having moderate success using only co2 as bait with a DIY trap I went from catching 10-15 of the little gray ones a day to catching 25-30 along with more of the larger black ones (Probably the Asian tiger species , but I'm not an expert). It's probably not as effective as the $300 units sold here but it was enough to take back my yard at least.

Tried this in a Dynatrap unit without luck
I am putting this review out for anyone curious about whether it would work in a Dynatrap. The vendor never said the lure is suitable for that kind of trap so this may not be a fair review of the product in its intended kind of trap.I put this into the catch bin of a Dynatrap outdoor unit Dynatrap DT1050 Outdoor Insect Trap to attract Asian tiger mozzies.I removed the hole covers to allow air through and figured the Dynatrap fan would emit the lure scents. That said it doesn't seem to help the catch rate of the Dynatrap which still continued to almost exclusively catch moths.

Not sure if this worked for me
Can't give an honest review as I used this on a trap that wasn't a Mosquito Magnet which is what it is designed for.I purchased a Mega Catch with C02 and put this product in the section with the wet catch and where other lures are designed to go. Researching the Mosquito Magnet it had way too many failure problems and a customer service that wouldn't supply any repair parts so they lost my business. This product was for the Asian Tiger Mosquito which we seemed to be loaded with. My trap actually will catch and kill the Tigers without lures but I used this and other lures also to increase catch rates. I killed a lot but not sure if this was any factor in the catch rates.I highly recommend the Mega Catch trap.
