This looks like a nice little sewing machine
This looks like a nice little sewing machine but I can never get sewing on a machine to work for me. I always seem to do something wrong and end up messing up what ever I'm trying to sew. This should have no reflection of the quality of this sewing machine. I've had problems with every sewing machine I used. That being said, it works just about the same way every other sewing machine I've used. My only real complaint is the the tiny about of space around the needle to thread it and the need to put the threaded in from the back. Big hands in little spaces are always a problem If you have problems learning how to sew, this machine will get you aggravated, like it did me but if you know how to sew already, you'll do great with this little one. Again, my inability to sew properly has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of this machine. I'm only stating this because I think you should have some experience in sewing well before buying this. It will not make you sew better but it will make your life easier if you already know how.

Not durable for big sewing projects like stitching back a beloved blanket.
Tried the sewing machine twice but then battery overheated and now it doesn’t work and can’t complete what I need to do. This product is more of a toy than a durable machine. Better off sticking to a traditional sewing machine and not waste your money. Save yourself time and effort. Sadly disappointed and I normally don’t write reviews with low ratings.

It's a great little portable machine
It's actually a big larger than my mom thought. She loves it. It does everything a normal size machine can do. It runs great, straight stitches and holds in stitches great. Great little machine!

Very Impressive Quick Stitch Plus Machine
The Singer Quick Stich Plus came threaded with "white thread" and worked right out of the box, But I wanted black thread, so I unthreaded it and re-threaded it with black, no issues with threading. The small sewing kit that comes with it has plastic bobbins, and this machine only uses metal bobbins, so I placed the plastic ones into my hand sewing box. I recently purchased a Brothers machine for 95.00, one of their budget friendly models, and it absolutely would not sew my 90% Polyester / 10% Elastane material. The Singer Quick Stitch Plus sewn it without any problems. I found the Quick stitch seemed to put too much tension on the thread, was tight to pull on it, but sewn just fine. I know this machine is not designed as a replacement for a larger desktop machine, but this will be very handy to "tack" material in place for the large machine to do the permanent stitch. I haven't tried it for a permanent stitch, but it likely could if I properly anchored the stitch ends. This machine does not have reverse to anchor the thread, it could be done by spinning the material and a few stitches in opposite direction, but I found the stitches didn't easily pull out, so somewhat anchored, at least enough to tack the material where I want it. I do not care about the negative reviews, I tested this machine myself, and was very impressed, I would definitely recommend this machine.

A good product for beginner
For a beginner, it is a good product although it is cheap. I had zero experience with sewing, but I found it was easy to use this product, after some try-and-error I was able to finish sewing my three pants, I wanted to make them one inch shorter.

Recommended with Reservations
Needle that came installed in the machine broke within a few stitches. I loaded one of the replacement needles it came with, and even running it through the sample fabric that came with it, the replacement needle broke too. I loaded yet another of the replacement needles it came with, and that one broke within a few stitches also. None of the needles are marked with Singer’s logo - not the one that comes loaded in the Singer sewing machine nor any of the ones in the replacement set that ships with it. I have ordered Singer needles to see if that makes any difference and will adjust review accordingly. Also, the thread that ships with this set is just okay, breaks easily. UPDATE: Went from 1 Star to 3 Stars, but with reservations 1) The needles that come with this are garbage and are NOT made by Singer. Replacing the needle with a Singer needle fixed the issue of the needles that came with it continuously breaking. 2) The thread that ships with it is also low quality and can break easily. Setting the tension on the lowest possible helped but didn’t completely solve the issue. 3) In general, it seems like the tension needs to be at the minimum setting with most threads (which is the moment the tightening screw latches in). Would be nice if the unit had a small light underneath to make it easier to see where you are sewing. I would consider this okay for very light work, but it simply cannot compare to an actual sewing maching.

Not happy
I had hopes. After all, its Singer. But no. It worked okay for the first hour...then the nightmare started. First, the thread tensioner is garbage. Even all the way loose, it holds the thread too tight! On top of that, the included thread is also total garbage, I have spent more time (AND THREAD!) having to rethread the machine because the thread broke (and that's without even using the useless tensioner! While stiching, the poor thing chokes and skips frequently for no reason that I can see. Also, when trying to begin stiching, the motor isn't strong enough to get things moving. I have to pull up on the presser foot for a moment to get the machine to start moving. All these issues are while using the recommended ac adapter...(I dont dare trying to use batteries after all this!) This is my second machine, because the first had to be returned because it wouldn't work at all! I am so unhappy that I wasted my money on this.

A convenient middle ground for quick household repairs
This portable mending machine is convenient for small repairs when setting up a full sewing machine would be unnecessary. The cordless design is easy to handle, and the bundle provides good value for occasional household use.

sent a returned machine
I was sent a machine that someone reuturned. It was packaged and taped up to look like garbage. I was still hopeful that it may have been squashed up in the delivery but my gut said it was a Singer that didn't work. I tried it out and it made a couple of feeble noises and completely stopped working. I couldn't turn the wheel and the power button didn't do anything. I couldn't get the piece of material out from under the foot, then couldn't make the threads extend to cut it away. Someone jambed it and sent it back and the distributor just sent it off to me. I bought a power cord for it but kept that when I returned the machine. I'm so disappointed because I think the little sewing machine may be a good one if someone didn't wreck it while trying to use it. I read all the instructions before I started and it looked like it was threaded properly. The mechanism was just damaged inside. Distributors, please send NEW items when we pay for NEW items!

Good machine, beware of its limitations and the quality of its accessories.
This little machine is quite versatile. It does not have electric reverse and must be manually backed up if required. The threar spool spindle for a full size spool is easily damaged and the way it retains itself into the machine is poor. Honestly, if you are gentle with this and are aware of it's limitations, it is a great little machine that does a very secure stitch. I used UV stable thread double the size that comes with the machine and stitched through material that is about 3-4mm thick (1/8 - 3/16"), and it works well enough that I am very happy with its operation.
