We have this in our bathroom where there is only one outlet. It picks up motion from at the least a few feet outside the bathroom door, which is great at night. It's bright enough to see what you need to, not too bright that it disrupts your sleepy eyes in the middle of the night. We've had this product for about 4 months now and the light goes on and off daily, and we have not yet needed to change out the batteries! With other battery operated motion lights we have tried the batteries died a lot faster in comparison. The only thing I wish you could extend the timer a little longer until the light turned off, but that's just me & it's minor. The looks of this light is also very nice. Takes a bit of trial and error to get the unit positioned correctly for the motion field- but maybe that's just because I was setting it up for a cat. Batteries have lasted longer than expected. Light isn't bright, but works for illuminating the 5- 8 ft radius he needs. I have mine in the bathroom so we don't have to turn on the main light that is connected a rather loud bathroom fan. It stays on for about 20 seconds, or as long as there is motion.Product dimensions are: 6 inches tall x 3 inches wide at the base.It requires 3 AAA batteries. I use rechargeable batteries. The batteries are NOT supplied with the light.The light is a soft yellowish glow and easy on the eyes at night. But it is bright enough to see everything in the bathroom.I am going to by a few more for under the edge of the bed at night.This is a nice light for the money. It is a well made light, not cheap looking at all.
