Mirfak MC1 Lavalier Micphone

It came with a decent amount of accessories and the quality of signal was good. I was happy with the quality of the MC1 microphone but found the durability issues of the cable extremely disappointing. I Know how to use and store Lav microphones. This one was my backup and I used it for about 3 times with care and always kept in the protective box. Now around 2 weeks afterwards, I find the Cable end that terminates into 3.5 inch jack is splitting up. Please see the attached picture for a detailed overview and comparison between marketing material and the one I received.The reason for the cable problems is because there is no notch to protect the cable that terminates into the 3.5 inch jack. On their box and all the marketing material from the web as well as the reviews from the USA, I find the notch. Which indicates they are cutting the notch for the Indian market to reduce costs. On other amazon reviews in India, the notch is non existent which points to a manufacturing defect somewhere in your process. Every other Lav mic from JBL, BOYA etc have the notch and I dont see the notch give away soon. I contacted Amazon and they pointed me to the manufacturer. Despite sending emails to the email addresses on their website, I could not receive any kind of support even after more than 2 weeks which indicates no support in India. Why does amazon sell this product with warranty when there is no way to excise it ? Now i am stuck with a 999 RS product that is now essentially a brick.This is my third MIRFAK product (the others being N2 Shotgun microphone and TU1 desktop microphone) and generally found their products to be reliable and of decent sound quality though they cut corners in some areas (Rubberbands and Camera Shoe mounts in N2).

Packaging & Overview:Purchased this recently and the first thing I noticed upon receiving the package was the included case which is a bit unusual for mic at this price point. The included case is good for protecting your mic while travelling and allows for easy setup when required. See attached pictures.Sound Quality:I used this connected to my zoom recorder and it sounded great across various levels. Have only used it to record vocals as a lav mic is meant for and the voice sounded great. Sound was monitored on Audio Technica monitoring headphones.Long term durability:Not sure about this since I've only been using this for the past few months. Will try to update in time to come.

I needed a microphone for use with my mobile for Instagram Live feeds. My other pro mics were either too heavy or had short wires. I found the Mirfac MC-1 Lavalier (Collar) mic. I found this relatively unknown (brand) mic on Amazon and decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful sound it produces and the fact that it matches my other mics as well. While testing I was hard put to hear any difference with my standard units retailing at much higher price tags.The cable is long enough for recording with a DSLR because it is powered separately by a standard button cell (LR44) the mic doesn’t drain the phone battery. The Crocodile clip ensures that the mic doesn’t rub against the shirt and produce disturbance. Although they say that the mic works with a DSLR or a Phone, it also works with Laptops, Audio recorders like the Zoom H1n, and is pretty effective during Zoom meetings and Presentations. All in all a very good buy.

I was looking for an inexpensive lapel mic but with good quality sound as a second collar mic. I already own a Rode SmartLav+ and I was pleasantly surprised that even though much cheaper, mirfak MC1 matches the audio quality of my RODE mic.This mic can be used on multiple devices - mobile phones, desktops/laptops and DSLRs without having to buy an additional TRRS to TRS adapter. Also, since it comes with a long cable, I didn’t have to purchase an extension cable like I did for my RODE saving me an additional expense.

I always wanted to have versatile mic which I can use on multiple devices like mobile, laptop, desktop, camera and easy to carry too. I did research and finally found Mirfac MC-1 Lavalier (Collar) mic. Best part of this mic is that its cable is 6 meter long and it also has a condensing unit which has auto Noise Reduction and it is very much useful in getting clear voice.It's been over 1 month, I have been using this mic and i must admit it is fulfilling all my needs.# Mobile : While Travelling it is always there in my bag, Whenever i have to capture a video, i just plug it into the mobile to get crisp voice in my videos.# Laptop / Desktop : I use this mic during my workshops and it serves the purpose really well.# Camera : Many times i have to record videos for my corporate clients where they have to speak about their companies. Here 6 meter long wire comes handy even if i'm using a tele photo zoom lenses.
