I liked that it came in a box because I had bought this for someone else and it meant that I would be able to gift wrap it (this is the only reason it gets any stars).Unfortunately, I’m not happy with this product and I will explain why. The outer packaging is in English, yet the mat itself is all in French, which would be fine if that was in the product description or photos, which it’s not so I was not expecting this.The mat took several weeks to arrive and the packaging looked a tad bumped and battered. Thankfully I had the sense to open it and take a look as the mat also had a couple of small dings in it which resulted in the print rubbing off in several places. Surely it’s shouldn't be that easy for the writing to come off??The mat itself is very thin and see-through. It’s also quite slidey on my counter top so I don’t see how it can be helpful when kneeling, rolling out, etc. I am not impressed and feel that this was a waste of money. I will not be giving this as a gift and have ordered a different mat as a replacement.

I have just moved into a flat with a smaller kitchen than I am used to and found myself with a lack of work surface on which to make bread. I have used a similar, very expensive, professional item in the past and decided to give a table top converter a go. So I chose this.Pros: Ideal size; easy to clean; easy to store; easy on the eye.Cons: I suspect if I were to knock out half a dozen loaves every day that this item would eventually start to tear; it loses its "sticky" after a few washes (although it might work on a non-wooden table, I don't know) and slides a bit during vigorous kneading.All in all this is a fine item which will do quite nicely for home baking on a non-industrial level. It is strong and durable and easy to keep clean and store. I am definitely going to buy another one for my work box and recommend it.

Love this mat. It has every measurement you could ever want, and holds firm on your worktop, saves mess and so easy to clean, it also dries very quickly, I hang mine on the washing line, but after saying that a quick wipe down with kitchen towels would work if you don't want to drip dry.

We used this once, gave it a thorough clean then folded it up and put it away. Got it out to roll some marzipan just before Christmas and it was all stuck to itself. Sorted that out but then the marzipan stuck to it. Threw it away in disgust - hadn't thought about returning it. :(

Used for bread making. Good bit of kit, does the job but only one niggle. Don't get flour under the mat which inhibits contact with the work surface and starts to slide around, real pain. Apart from this a good product for the price.

Great Pastry Rolling Mat. Brilliant for Rolling Dough for Appletarts, Cookies etc. Easy surface to roll dough and easy to clean after. Good quality. Recommended.

Really great item to have in the kitchen, whether your a baker or not; it really does help save on mess. I purchased one to use while crafting with clay.
