A big step up from your old enamelware canner
I just used my new canner for the first time and I am very pleased! The rack allows for 9 pint jars at a time and the glass lid is great! I can see when the water is just about to boil and adjust the heat so it doesn’t boil too hard.

Nice canner
Perfect for canning and sterilization. I've canned several jars of relish, pickles and beets.

Great pot to cook in.
A delight to use. I have mostly used it for big batches of soup which I can up and then have ready to eat as needed. To bad my larger burner went out on my Samsung induction after 5 months of use and there is no service in our area here in northern California. So no soup batches for a month now.

Large water boil helper or “soup pot “
The “go to” water boil canner. If you have fruit trees (or not) you can doYour water boil canning of fruit preserves easily. Also, for the large “soup pot”For feeding your large crowd - this is it. Works every time.

Sturdy pot but not perfect
Bought this pot because I needed a new one due to having a glass top stove. Would not recommend to use it on one. First it needs to be a few inches deeper to accommodate quart size jars as with the glass lid I feel like it's great to be able to see items processing but it collects too much condinsation on the lid causing it to leak onto your glass top stove permanently staining your stove top. When the pot boils water splatters up onto lid causing it to float making it leak even more water onto your stove. Used multiple towels to keep lid dry so it wouldn't make a big mess on my stove but still didn't work well. I feel you need a deeper pot as due to the splattering of water when using quart jars if you fill it where it is supposed to be over the jars to process the splattering of the water and condinsation on the lid create a big mess and if you try to adjust the level of water you get less than an inch over the top of the jars it questions the safety of the water level needed to process safely. Overall good pot just need to fix the condinsation issue with the floating lid issue and I could only fit 6 quarts size jars not 7 like others as putting in 7 overflows the pot needs to be a deeper pot by 2 to 3 inches.

A perfect replacement for a worn out old canner
The media could not be loaded. About 30 years ago I bought an old enamel ware canner at a yard sale for $3.00. It had served me well, but with time the enamel became chipped and eventually so badly etched inside that it was time to retire it.I went looking for a nice stainless canner to replace it and found this one. The reviews had me a little concerned. But on receipt all is well.It will be perfect. It has a nice, thick, heavy bottom that should resist warping and a vented glass lid that will hopefully keep it from spitting water onto my stovetop. The insulated handles are also much appreciated.Because it's Stainless it will be rust and chip free and easy to care for.The bottom is nice and flat, though I use a Wolf gas stove, so it's precision isn't as important to me as it might be for someone with an induction range.I have doubts about the rack, I saw nothing saying that it's stainless and it appears to be plated. I anticipate it rusting a bit soon after a few uses.Though I haven't used it yet, I feel confident that it will serve me for the rest of my canning seasons to come.It arrived in perfect condition. It appears I was luckier than some folks in that respect. The packing needs to be improved to protect the glass lid. It's simply turned upside down in the pot with nothing between but a plastic bag to protect it. It's no wonder folks are getting pots with shattered lids. A simple piece of cardboard nested between the two would be an easy solution.I would most certainly recommend it.
