I bought this one after my first NSI feeder broke after 20 years on the backyard pole. I could have bought repair parts to replace the broken tube but decided to replace the entire thing instead. All the birds love it and the squirrels haven't figured out how to get onto the tray from the pole below. There is a vertical bar on the feed stations that s easily broken out if more access is desired. I broke out the ones on the lower stations, but the mourning doves empty the feeder to rapidly. I had fourteen on and around the feeder yesterday. I'll swap the lower feeding stations with the upper ones, that should slow them down. It is mounted on a threaded pipe I got at Home Depot, the threaded pipe fitting matches the adapter perfectly, I threw the pole that comes with it away. The doves pull the seed out to get at the seeds they like, this has a tendency to fill up the lower tray, the smaller birds keep the amount of loose seed in the tray at manageable levels. If I stay away from the feed with large amounts of millet, I find that the amount of loose seed is reduced. When this one breaks in 20 years, I'll buy another one.

I have this feeder now. It was gifted to us 19 years ago. The color has changed from grey to a nice green. Over the years the animals have abused it and it has had its share of bumps and cracks but needs an update for appearances. The only negative is the fact that it went under a change from Pot metal perches to breakable plastic. Now plastic is cheaper but not durable. I will transfer the pot metal perches that I have for the plastic ones that came with it. I would not have purchased it otherwise for this very important fact.

The feeder holds lots of seed and the tubes are stout; however, the perches need to be redesigned. The plastic perches are so soft the birds peck them out. I’ve had this feeder up about a month and they have already destroyed five of them. This causes the seed to spill out in large quantities. A lot of seed is wasted. You can order replacements, but they cost money and don’t last long. Update. I called the sales department and they sent me replacement perches made of metal at no cost. Problem solved. They have excellent customer service.

This feeder holds a lot of food! I like that it does not have to be filled constantly. I have not yet had to clean it so I’m not sure how easy it is to accomplish that, I will update when it happens. Very sturdy, well made, great for filling with different types of seed.

I bought two of these "bird feeders" to replace 12 year old ones of the same style. Although the pictures shown on line were identical to the feeders I was replacing, the items delivered were a new version which included a bar down the middle of the feeding port so birds can't get the seeds (sunflower). I hung them in the same place as the old ones which provided heavy feeding traffic and after two weeks of trying to get seeds the birds have moved on. I guess these units are really just yard art as they sure don't serve any other purpose. I Emailed customer service but after 1 1/2 weeks I still have no reply.

Holds more food than old feeder however birds seem to have trouble obtaining food from feeder. And birds liked the old three tube feeder better. Looks like a great feeder - disappointing!

I love this feeder! It's actually a replacement of the same model that was destroyed by acrobatic raccoons dropping from a nearby tree branch on top of it and messing it up. It does have a squirrel guard but big raccoons dropping from trees will knock it down lol. I probably could have fixed it but just got a new one instead. You can put different birdseed in each tube to feed a variety if you like. I live in the country next to lots of woods and have lots of visiting birds. This feeder keeps me from having to reload so often. Highly recommend it

Upon unboxing this birdfeeder, I found that there was no pole assembly, which was supposed to be included. I reached out to North States by email, who rapidly got back in touch with me and apologized, before sending me the 4-piece pole without any questions. I have not used this feeder yet, but the quality seems to be pretty good, with interchangeable feeder ports for both mixed seed/sunflower seed and thistle seed.
