For those wanting to jump on this, be aware that polarity matters (the “D” in LED is “diode”) and this bulb has a shared +12v wire (red) with separate ground wires for the white and amber sides. This is different from setups where people expect a shared ground and a separate hot wire (+12v DC). That’s why the manufacturer has a switchback controller product available that flips the polarity if needed for automotive or other application.Ok. With that out of the way, The construction is solid and precise, and testing with a 9v battery — that’s only 75% of what the car I intend to install these in will deliver — these things are BRIGHT. See photos.Additionally, the portion that will be visible from the surface at the install point is literally as thin as a dime. See photos.Final installation has made me pretty happy. I installed these inside the side mirror housings of a 1995 Subaru Legacy, with the light shining out around the edges of the mirror. This was not my originally planned install method (the mirror housings were "unfriendly" to original plan). But I got it done. See photos.Given where I ultimately wound up placing the LEDs, I probably should have used 2 per side instead of 1, especially because the amber is dimmer than the white (see photos). But even with 1 LED per mirror they look phenomenal at night, and are just visible enough to me as driver during the day (side benefit - I hadn't thought of that perk, but I've come to love it).In fact, I'm planning on installing Oznium's sister product to this bolt (cool white LED rather than dual color) as cornering lights on a different vehicle, probably 2 per side.So, ah, yay? Yeah: yay. Happy.

Got this to put next to the switch I turn my amber/ white strobes on my truck. I found myself driving around with my strobes on This is the perfect lamp as I used a YUNPICAR 12V GS-100C Car Flash Strobe Controller to drive it giving me a white / amber flasher on my console. I did modify the strobe driver as it switched positive voltage and these need negative switching. The controller was potties in some cheap rubber which came right off the pcb. I soldered the leads to the drivers that trigger the main MOSFETS. This is negative trigger and plenty of current to drive a small LED .take the positive wire from the LED and solder it straight to the positive input and your good to go. Def get your attention when you left your strobes on.

These lights are great as they are two in one package. I installed them on my truck to be white during the day and amber when the headlights are on. The light color is selected by which ground wire is connected so I had to incorporate a small relay. It would be super easy if the lights were constructed so the color was selected by which hot wire was energized. All in all super happy with the performance. Next I’ll see how long they last down here in the Arizona desert.
