Review: Thorough and convenient - I would recommend this book to everyone studying for their private written test. The explanations are thorough and very easy to understand, and it covers everything you will see on the FAA test. I'm also glad that they included the figures in a SEPARATE book as opposed to just sticking it at the end like the jeppesen test guides do. It's a very simple design feature but it is very convenient!

Took my test 4 weeks after getting this book and passed my exam with a 92!! Can't complain study it and you'll pass. It came with the separate book of all the charts for the exam also. I would recommend this book to everyone studying for their private written test. The explanations are thorough and very easy to understand, and it covers everything you will see on the FAA test. I used this book along with watching ground school videos on YouTube and reading the FAR/AIM and got a 93 on my test. There were a couple questions on the test that I hadn't seen anything about in this book, but otherwise this book prepared me for the written very well.
