French Burnt Peanuts - 2 Pound Bulk Pack - Old School Candy

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been looking for these in my local markets for months now. No one carries them anymore. I took a chance on these. Delicious, they are fresh, arrived in excellent condition. I will be purchasing again.

Paid $20 These were stale and peanuts inside taste old and dry. The worst part is you cannot return this item for a refund

Of course nothing is the way it was but I was very disappointed in the flavor it was not what I remember

Candy coated, these peanuts have a bumpy red shell that creates a distinctive look with a lightly sweet and very mild salty taste. I’m not sure where the burnt part comes in because they are decidedly not burnt but perhaps the lumpy shell looks like the peanuts blistered. The exterior is a hard candy shell and the peanuts provide a good taste but are somewhat chewy instead of crunchy. Since this is a treat I tend to ignore the ingredient list. I’m not endorsing this behavior--just thought you should know.Burnt Peanuts are nostalgic--old time candy so they represent a variety that has been around for years although not always easy to find. I measured and this two pound bag contains 5 1/2 cups. The candy is bright and colorful, and a festive addition for a party or packed in small cellophane bags and added to goody bags or holiday stockings. To estimate shelf-life the expiration date on this pouch is 17 months in the future but dates will vary.
