Black colouring is always tricky, you need to use lots and let it sit for a bit. I recommend getting to dark grey and then leaving it for a while (royal icing) and it will darken, and dry darker too. Sugarflair colours are usually pretty good, I've never had a clumpy black, and because it's a paste, you don't risk making your icing overly runny while you're darkening it. This is the black I always buy as I'm never disappointed.
