I liked the embrodery hoop. It was a nice 8.0 inch hoop that holds well.

Mu adult daughter works with kindergarten students with autism and expressed an interest in these hoops, but not for the intended purpose. Many of her students are working on things like coloring within the lines. She wasn't really sure how to start teaching this, so she did some searching, and one suggestion was to use embroidery hoops. They create a clear boundary, so students learn to color in a designated space.These hoops have been perfect! They are well made which is appreciated, as she didn't want anything that would be splintering. She also remarked that she likes the variety of sizes; she can start with the larger size and use smaller sizes as her students make progress.She is definitely not using these for their intended purpose but for what she needs them they have been perfect!

These are wonderful quality hoops! I love beech wood hoops the best, as the feel and finish of the wood is wonderful. The screws at the top are heavy duty, though not the prettiest gold I've seen (look a bit tarnished). However, the quality is excellent with no splintering edges. However...the one major flaw of these hoops is the little bit of writing on the top of each one. In small print is the brand name and the size of the hoop. Not cute if you're making gifts out of these! And really makes them look cheap. Bummed about that, but happy with everything else.

I was surprised at how nice these hoops looked when I received them. Many now are using embroidery hoops to frame their projects. These are usually bamboo hoops that look cheap (probably because they are). These hoops take it up a notch. They look as if they are stained and as if care had been taken to make them. They will make an embroidered piece look so much better when they are used as a frame. I will save them to use for framing, but not for actual embroidery as I don't want to take a chance of scratching or damaging them.I do appreciate receiving these. I didn't know hoops like this existed although I did start out embroidering using an old metal frame that had been my grandmother's. They sure were pretty, but I don't think they are made any more. Thank you for these.

I got these hoops for my mom to use in decorating her sewing room. She has fabrics from various travels that she plans to put in the hoop and hang them up on the wall. I was surprised at the quality of these hoops, the Beech wood is very strong. Very satisfied!
