Excellent taste
Really enjoyed these. Root beer taste is many things to many people - some are bound not to like this, or comment that there's no maple taste - but I guess it's not actually supposed to taste of maple is it - that's just an ingredient that makes up the overall flavour.Just a pity they don't yet (hint HINT!!!!!), do a sugar-free version (I'm type-2 so have to keep watch on my sugar intake).Overall a very good buy.

Best priced rootbeer but at a cost.
I love rootbeer. That weird "mouthwash" taste is something I've been missing at a good price. This rootbeer does not have it.It tastes great, don't get me wrong, but it tastes more like fizzy maple syrup than the almost medicinal "wintergreen" flavour I prefer. My kids love it, but I'd love this drink more if it was a more traditional flavour. On the plus side, unlike those cans of rootbeer imported from the US, this drink does not have high-fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners and is definitely a winner in that regards.TL;DR - good, but not quite perfect flavour.

Good heavens, that's awful!
The slogan is 'good soda for good folk'. So naturally I assumed they would be rather nice.No such luck! The cream soda doesn't taste anything like cream soda. In fact, I genuinely couldn't describe what it does taste like, except disgusting. The root beer tastes like water with a slight hint of maple and a nasty after-taste. The cherry soda is quite bitter and vaguely tastes of cherry. And I haven't tried the blueberry muffin soda as it never arrived. All in all, a great product to avoid and not waste your money on

Lovely drink, but new version is poor
The bluberry muffin flavour was a great tasting fizzy drink. Sadly this has been discontinued and the new blueberry flavour is nowhere near as good. Its too sweet and leaves a bit of an artificial taste in the mouth. 5* for blueberry muffin but 2* for blueberry, which is what this now is even though it still says blueberry muffin

Probably different to what you expect
I found this drink to be pleasant but what I would say is that it's more of a flavoured water than other popular soft drinks like Coke , Dr Pepper, IRN BRU ect. Its mildly fizzy, it's very mildly flavoured. Its basically fizzy water with a drop of vanilla in it. To be fair to the maker thats exactly what it says on the tin. Soda water, sugar, vanilla, colour. It does feel like a " craft soda " and that's what I feel they are going for. The fact that it isn't full of additives like the large brands. I've seen a lot of other people saying that the sugar content isn't as high as it used to be but I hadn't tryed it before. I think its nice and a bit different with a large glass of ice but if you are expecting like a proper old school cream soda or like the American brands then this isn't it. This is a mildly flavoured fizzy water.

Sweet But Not Too Sweet
I'm not exactly sure what constitutes root beer or what it tastes like in the US but this is quite different to any other soft drink I've had and in a good way.

Disappointing - soda water with syrup
I love root beer and I regularly buy the A&W version when I can (it's just a pity it's quite expensive to buy in the UK). I used to buy the 'full sugar' version of this, before Soda Folk replaced it with this reduced version. The original tasted great, although not quite on par with A&W. However, this new version is much worse. I'd describe its taste as soda water with a touch of maple-flavoured syrup, now akin to Soda Folk's reduced sugar Cream Soda, which has also been ruined by what I can only assume is the result of the sugar tax.If you're unfamiliar with Root Beer and haven't ever tasted the classic American A&W, you might find this enjoyable. But for OG Root Beer fans, I can't recommend this in good conscience.
