Note, my converter is set into adapter mode and if I turn the converter on the fan runs super slow. **Q: Can this fan be removed from the base? I was interested in attaching the fan to a drum stand.** A: It can definitely be removed from the stand. I've done it. You just need to unscrew the small thumb screw that attaches the swivel mount to the stand.
