The pictures are clear and beautiful with step by step instructions and advice for what tools to do. I bought this for my nephew and he is so excited to use it.

While we did not actually carve any pumpkins using it yet, it's nice book. It has great photos with great detail. If a person puts in the effort I believe it would be a great guide, those pumpkins aren't going to carve themselves.

Thanks to this book, I won the office pumpkin carving contest, which also won me $250.00! Granted, my pumpkin did not turn out as amazing as the ones in this book, but definitely worth the purchase. One thing to note about this book, there are only a few step by step guides at the beginning of the book and the rest of the book is filled with beautiful carvings by the author, which are great, but didn't help with my personal carving. Hence the four star review. But all in all, worth it. And I'm sure with more practice, my carvings could slowly look close to his. On a side note, you DEFINITELY need the right tools for the job. Any sort of wood carving tools will do. Just make sure it's an assortment of wood carving tools.

This book is just fun and much easier than other pumpkin carving books to copy. There are some step-by-step instructions, and the books has some easier sculptures to attempt that are almost, somewhat, manageable. The author is really skilled though, so don't expect to be as good! But this is a fun book to try and get ideas :)

The book is well detailed

A bit of fun, but to be honest it doesnt really do much in the way of teaching. The step by step is pretty weak and it's mainly just examples. Youtube clips are much better than using this.

Little advanced

Captivating book.

Is a nice book. The author did a nice job. He gave some nice tips about tools and about technique. 2 faces are illustrated step-by-step and all the others can be replicated once the student got some skills. Practice practice and practice...there is no one can do that for you. This is a good book to have.

Gorgeous pumpkin sculpting! Wish there were more techniques shown. However, if you are an artist, it’s quite easy to figure out. The techniques in this book are helpful though. Love this book! Totally recommend!

This book is amazing. Author is so, so creative - totally in awe! Brilliant step by step instructions with great pictures to follow. Definitely need a lot of practice to reach the standard in book but no harm in trying - hey!
