Not recommended.. too big
Practically not usable because of the size... this is to keep in the show case.. i would not recommend buying this.. also over priced.. actual price seen in other website in Singapore was priced at 1000 rupees.

Has a button operated lever then enables quick resets back to zero
A very nicely made abacus with 17 rows, enabling addition or multiplication of numbers using different ends of the abacus. Has coloured beads marking the Thousands separators.

Very pleased!
Nicely made. Little bit of wood threads in corners, but nothing more. Wiped it away. Nice size, and everything works nicely. Beads swish, reset button is good. I like the 1’s unit, 1,000, 1,000,000, 1,000,000,000, etc, are color coded with a reddish bead. I wanted a set with alternating bead colors for every 3 rods. But this was better than no color dividers to help see your rod more accurately. This package was shipped ECO friendly, no box, just bubble wrapped inside a bubble lined envelop. So, if this is a gift, you will need to consider a long/tall gift bag.I am not sure if this is just the nature of an abacus or lack of a professional model of abacus, but if you swish the beads too hard, they can bounce out of place. Maybe it’s just our technique that is not good. But I wanted to point that out. We still love the abacus we received.

Perfect size for adult fingers
This is a quality soroban for the price. The frame is stained and varnished. The rods look to be brass. The reset mechanism works nicely and seems sturdy. The brass dots on the reckoning bar allow for keeping track of cents. The corners have brass braces. There are three rubber feet. It comes in a simple clear plastic wrapper with no instructions. There is no storage case or sack It is a good size for a desk or table; it is not pocket size. The beads are a good size for an adult's fingers. Great conversation piece.

Abacus
Pictures made it look more black and red but really the beads are brown and red. Solid construction and the reset control was pretty cool.
