Telecaster Thinline Deluxe MIM--Wow! what a great guitar!
Since I was a teen (now at retirement age), I've always wanted a Telecaster thinline guitar. As noted in several online reviews, this MIM instrument is a great example of fine workmanship at a boutique guitar price. The finish, overall appearance, sound, and playability are all top notch! Glad I made this purchase! It is now part of my guitar collection with 3 Reverend electrics, 1 Ovation acoustic, and 2 "partscasters" (upgraded Strat and Jazzmaster clones).Update: After playing it more, I realized that the setup was not as good as expected. It is now with a pro to be properly adjusted.

The Tele I've always wanted -
I'm a little bit of an odd duck with Teles in that I stay in the neck pickup a lot, and this particular one sounds great. Plus, there is an out of phase position which also seems to act as a volume boost. Sounds as good as she looks, bright, punchy, and very light weight as well. This one is a keeper.

awesome quality and a great sound
I wasn't expecting the binding to be so attractive, but it is. The neck is comfortable, and the noiseless pickups were unexpectedly pleasing. I just couldn't get over the plastic truss rod plug. Fender has raised the prices high enough on these that there really out to be wood plugs like the American versions. Heck, even a higher end squier gives you that wooden plug. Fender, make it so, and I'll buy another.

Nearly Flawless
Awesome guitar that required very little setup out of the box. Fit and finish were flawless, frets were nice and level, the nut was perfectly sliced, and the pickups and electronics appear to be top shelf. The neck also feels nice and it's easy to intonate the strings with the six-barrel bridge. Only minus (and it's a nitpicky one at that) is the fret ends are a bit sharp when running my fingers up and down the neck, but this doesn't affect playability whatsoever and can easily be redressed. Rolled fretboard edges and filed fret ends usually push a guitar into the $2000+ range, and if that's the only pownside, I'll gladly take this instrument and pocket the other grand. This is a wonderful instrument and I bonded with it right away. The tones are snappy and resonant; the way a Tele should sound when it's right. And this one is right. Love it!

Really great
I wondered what the noiseless pickups would be like but they sound exactly like my other Telecasters - without the 60-cycle hum from my home's dimmer light switches! I love the satin-finished neck (no sticky gloss) and the 12-inch radius in particular. This was my first thinline and I appreciate the overall lighter weight of the guitar.
