All the helpful notes for understanding the language are found in a different location
This book is one of those typical versions on Kindle that really don't work in this format. Many of the lines have a small circle denoting explanation of the language, but the explanation is somewhere else on the Kindle. It's better with a PaperWhite (and probably a Touch) -- these seem to cope with this hunt-for-the-footnote game by bringing up a pop-up box, but not my old Kindle Keyboard nor the newer Kindles (I call them "plain Kindles").I really got annoyed by not being able to access the notes that explained the Elizabethan references and meaning. In fact, I gave up with this version and bought the hard copy. It was better -- not brilliant for reasons I'll say when I review it, but at least serviceable, whereas this was frankly useless. The one bright spark was having the A and B versions of the play, but the Kindle format doesn't do it any justice at all.

Great book, but...
Used this book for the humanities class. The rest of the class was using the Norton Critical edition. This was much cheaper so i bought it. Beware there are two versions of the book, A and B I think this was A version. I could not tell the difference between the versions really. I guess the norton edition has both. So if you really want to go into the depths of Christopher Marlowe, the history, meaning, etc get the Critical edition by Norton. Otherwise this was great for just reading, otherwise hard to decipher on its own, unless you are already a marvelous scholar of the Elizabethan era.

Great Read
Needed this book for a project in class. It was short to my surprise, but I felt like a hipster cause this was before Shakespeare lol Really compelling story.

Still creepy - in a good way
Even though this book is rather tame by modern standards, the Doctor's temptation is still creepy. The end scene where he is taken is downright frightening, and I'd like to see it done well on stage.
