Q: How do you switch between Speakers and Headset?

Sound Blaster X3 has Super X-Fi Button. Press and hold to switch between Line-out (Speaker) and Headphones Output. When in Headphones mode, press once to enable / disable Super X-Fi.

Q: Can you turn off the Center Speaker in the 5.1 speaker configuration menu? My system does not have one.

Yes you can, you need to set it to 5.1 and then open the windows sound control panel, and go through the steps and remove the center form there. After you do that, the sound blaster will make a phantom center channel so it sounds like voices etc come from your monitor. I run a 4.1 setup too

Sound to your ears

Great product..if you have 5.1 or 7.1 system it is very good espacially if you want to connect it to a laptop.. the software installation is bit of a hassle but worth it.. I bought it for less that 13k with discounts and offers etc so keep an eye on it.. it keeps fluctuating

Good Product, Trash Manufacturer

More than 1 and a half year Usage and the device worked fine for me. However, Creative Screwed up the firmware and audio is trash now. I will update more once Creative is willing and decides to fix the problem.

The purest form of dolby digital 5.1 from stereo miix

First item which I received gave me slightly mixed experience and I ordered for replacement, but the second one is awesome, speechless, it deliver the purest form of multichannel true 👍 dolby digital experience. But you need little bit of high configuration pc and a decent dolby digital AV receiver. Thanks Amazon & Creative Lab.
