Review: Really pretty fixture but a god-awful mess to install - Although it is very pretty and was exactly what I wanted, it was an absolute horror to install. I was doing a simple straight track on a pitched ceiling, seems like it should have been pretty straightforward but of course it was not. First stop, installing the ceiling support brackets. I can't speak for a curved track installation, but for straight track installation you better make sure that not one of your drill holes is out of alignment even by a fraction of a centimeter because it throws the entire track off. Next Step would be the track connector in the middle. Several reviews will note that the instructions state that your screws on the connector must go through the holes in the rail for there to be power. What it fails to tell you is that there are no holes on the sides that are exposed when you received the product. You have to, using a small allen wrench which they do not provide, remove the end caps on each end of the track. When you do so you will expose the holes they are referring to. You will know you're looking in the right place when you see the copper line running underneath the hole. Those are the answers you need to use to connect in the middle using the connector. Additionally when connecting the middle I would highly recommend you do this on the ground and not up in the air as it's really hard to snap the track into alignment while you were trying to put the cover on and align the screws to the holes. Also keep in mind do not over tighten the 4 little screws they give you otherwise your connector will not close. Once the connector is together you can lift the track up into the ceiling and attach it to your brackets. Once this is done attaching the lights is actually relatively easy. I will comment several people have noted that the lights are incredibly hot. Yes they are because they're halogen. Switch these out for Led ASAP unless you like a hot kitchen or wherever you're putting this.
Review: Caution do not buy - I consider myself a qualified installer with years of experience and have never seen a product so badly designed and built. The pins that are designed to fit in the monorail track do not line up groves cut in the track and after bending and forcing them in place I was finally able to power up half of the track. Then after hanging the lights with the same alignment problem I find they are only half working and those that did light had flicker. Then comes the rail connector that connects the two rail sections--same alignment problem and the directions say to tighten the connector screws--CAUTION plastic will strip out with very little pressure applied. Looks great only half has power and those flicker, only use I see for the Light system is as a boat anchor but it is light and cheap do much good. Wasted my money!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can the main electrical connectio to the elecrrical box be instaled in the middle of the track?**
A: Looks like the Globe Electric 6-Light Flex Track Light Kit Two 42" Rails, Brushed Nickel can be attached any where on the track.

**Q: What is the Specific lightbulb for this product?**
A: Thanks to others, I would recommend these if choosing LED because other LED bulbs may not provide ambient light to the frosted globes: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XBRN2D3/

**Q: can you buy stronger wattage light bulbs to fit this system?**
A: You should not putter higher wattage bulbs in but you can buy brighter LED lights with lower wattage.

**Q: can this be set up so the base is at one end with 84" of track and lighting extending out from it? Or does the base have to be in the middle? ty**
A: You can install the track with the base very close to the end. You can have @ 82 inches of track extending out from the base if you install it that way.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Looks great, works as advertized, but super-cheap plastic
*by D***H on November 10, 2016*

As with many products, there are those things you love, and those things you don't. So, here we go. The Good: it's reasonably stylish. From the vantage point of sitting in the room, it appears to be like a nicely designed metal track with frosted nickel metals and frosted glass shades. Installation was reasonably straightforward for anyone that's hung a few lights in their time. It took me an hour total and I'm an "average" homeowner, certainly not an expert, and I have to research everything beforehand to make sure it's within my skill level to install. This was. Uses standard GU10 (two T-pin twist-in connector) bulbs. It came with 6 standard Halogen bulbs pre-installed but I'll be replacing them with Soraa High-CRI GU10 LED's (my personal favorite are the 4000K "Vivid" models) as soon as they come in in a few days. Some features I like: the lights and all connectors can be installed ANYWHERE on the track. This means you do NOT have to center the two track pieces on the ceiling box. You can have the electrical supply lines at one end, almost in the middle, or anywhere in between EXCEPT for the exact mid point--there are two 42" tracks and there is a splicing connector that holds them together, but you can mount that seam as little as 3 inches from the power supply box. So it's a great model for those who have a ceiling electrical box a foot from a wall instead of centered on the room. The 30-degree vaulted ceiling I had it on was no problem at all. The Bad: Flimsy flimsy flimsy. Have I mentioned flimsy? This is NOT METAL! The track is the only substantive metal component--at least I think it's metal, it may actually be plastic. All the lighting housings and all mounting hardware is super-duper-cheap-feeling plastic. It LOOKS really good, but weighs nothing. I'd imagine cracks, splits and connectors just falling apart would be common risks while installing this and there may be possible future issues affecting life span. The only "real" piece in each lamp is the frosted glass. Everything else is junk plastic. The rings that attach over each bulb to hold it in BARELY hang on with their own quarter-ounce weight; they twist into tiny little channels in the glass, but will fall off with the slightest provocation, such as a human entering the room while sneezing. You think I'm joking? Sadly I'm not. I sneezed and one fell off. Unfortunately, gluing in place is not an option, as you need to remove them to replace a bulb and that spot gets really hot with Halogen bulbs anyway (not so much with LED's). So you just kind of hang them on there and hope for the best. Right now, all six are holding. Despite the cheap plastic, the "flex" track is pretty stiff. You'd think a simple bend and it would hold its shape. Nope. This requires some pretty solid bending and holding in place to keep its shape otherwise it wants to return to straight. This is great for subtle bends, but I wouldn't try to bend it into a circle as that's a LOT of pressure on the cheapie plastic clamps holding it to the ceiling. Overall, cheapness and plastic aside, once hung it does look really nice, and appears to be much more expensive than it is. It remains to be seen how this will hold up over years of use, but on day one it looks like a pretty decent track system.
