March Comes in Like a Lion, Volume 1: From Mental Hell to Mental Wellness

The media could not be loaded.  I have watched the anime about 4 times in two years and it never fails to bring me immense comfort and joy. I finally decided to pick up the manga volumes and I can't stress enough how well-made this book is. It's listed as paperback but it may as well be considered hardcover with the quality this is made with.The matcha green insides of the front and back covers is such a treat to the eyes and I can't recommend this manga enough.

Denpa outdid themselves with this one, with a flawless translation, lettering, and with a great physical release (with french flaps!) The absolute best you could expect. Doing justice to a legendary manga.

I have been so excited for the English release of this manga since I heard about it years ago!!!A beautiful, moving story and exceptional print quality. T-TOverall, I'm overjoyed to have this manga in my hands and will definitely be collecting future releases! :D

As a fan of the anime, I was excited that this was being published officially into English. The publishing date for this first volume was delayed for ~ year. However, it was worth the wait. Denpa has produced a high quality paper back. The Book cover is either laminated or made of plastic, but it feels sturdy & nice. It is also slightly larger than the typical manga volume.So far as the story goes, this is a slice of life where the subject matter deals with a shogi prodigy & the people that help him get through his day to day. As an amateur chess enthusiast, this a fantastic series that I am glad Denpa picked up.I am hoping the next volume comes out sooner with the same quality of love that was put into this first volume.

There is quite a bit to this book. I’m immensely impressed that it can be purchased for this price. The pages are dense with text and a lot of sound effects, so it must have been a lot of work to translate and edit. There were no errors that I could see, which was great. It feels like a very high quality book. It’s even got color pages in the beginning. Aside from the quality of the book itself is the quality of the story. It’s moving. I definitely am looking forward to the next installments in this series.
