This is a great chili pepper. It is spicy BUT not burning spicy. It has been my go to for years. I like some heat but want to be able to TASTE my food. It has always been fresh… I’ve bought it before. I’d say if you want it hotter add some cayenne 😳

日本では どこを探しても「ほぼ入手不可能」なカシミリチリ。 新宿新大久保イスラム通りや、アメ横をハシゴしたが「置いていない」と全滅。 Ambikaの店長は「Oh、お客さん珍しいね～」となぜか喜んでくれ、カレー店のネパール人店長は「どこも置いていないよ～、USAからなら入るかな～」と教えてくれた。（まあ、そうなんだけどね…アメリカからだと商品も、送料もべらぼうに高いのですよ…。） やっと、Amazonで見つけて、原産地から直接送ってもらって入手できた。 紅茶も現地バイヤーから直接輸入してるので、待ち時間はお手の物。 Fedex(空輸)でも1週間-10日ほど、通常国際郵便では3-4週間ほどが一般的。←（今回こちら） 出品者の評価があまり良くなかったから、初めは届くか少々心配だったが、無事に到着。 辛さは鷹の爪の30～40％ほどかな。特徴は辛さよりも独特の「苦みに似た深いコク」 外箱は、まあ…潰れてるよね、普通に。 海外からなんてこんなもんでしょ、中身が出てなければ影響ない。 箱がどーだこーだと言っている日本人が、神経質すぎる。額に入れて飾るわけじゃないんだから…。

I wasn't sure what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised. Kashmiri was a beautiful red color, I would say it was bold , medium heat level and aromatic. It certainly upped the quality of my Indian dish. Kashmiri also has a nice aroma and flavor.

Update: Pretty sure I had covid, so disregard what I said about this spice being "spicy, but not in an aggressive way." No, no, it's SPICY. Still delicious though! I've been eating food from the freezer that I cooked eight weeks ago, back when I was sick with pneumonia and, DANG! I thought that stuff was mild, but, yeah, not so much! And I was feeding this stuff to my baby too... (Baby probably had covid, too - he had pneumonia at the same time.) Anyway - take my original review with a grain of salt, but I will say - I still am enjoying this chili powder! I'll just go a little lighter on it in the future :-) *** Wow - so good! I decided I was going to try to learn how to cook Indian food, so I bought this (and other spices). So far that process is slow going... BUT the other day I was making an old family recipe for soup and realized I didn't have any aji chili paste. I tried a spoon of this, in a pinch, and - wow! So good! It's spicy in a really warm, pleasant way, and tastes... sweet, maybe? My favorite part is the type of spiciness. I've never tasted it before! It tastes mild and very spicy at the same time. Like, it's very spicy, but not in an aggressive way? This is going to be one of my go-tos from now on! I remember the package had a very distant sell-by date (I moved it to another container), and it smelled really fresh. The color is bright red, like powdered pigment. Very happy with it!
