All of my phones are Galaxy's and came with the original headphones so I know the difference. As soon as you pick them up you can feel that they are not the same as the real ones. I compared them to the ones that came with my Galaxy 7, 9, and 10 and these are noticeably bigger. The Samsung stamp on the box is not the same size or font as the boxes mine came in, either. Sound is inferior, but not bad enough to send back because they were on my Wish List and I'm not gonna be that person. I'm really bummed, though, because I have little ears and the real ones are the only ones that fit in my ears without discomfort. **Q: Would these also fit into a Galaxy S6?** A: Yes,Samsung devices are forward and backward compatibile. **Q: Does the mic work for iPhones?** A: No!! Not even for Galaxy. I wanted to get some earbuds that matched my phone whilst having a microphone and media controls. The wire feels durable enough with it's rubberized feel. It comes with 2 types of ear gels to fit your ears. sound quality is pretty good for earbuds as well. My only problem is that they don't seem to stay in my ears that long and i have to keep re adjusting them. Update 9/1/2017 These just went out randomly the other day. Was listening to music just fine and then all of a suddenly the left earphone goes out. That really sucks because i loved these things when they worked.
